Summit Bible Church is a faith-driven church founded on the 1st of November 1998 by Pastors Andrew and Ndidi Osakwe by the leading of the Holy Spirit upon graduation from Rhema Bible Training Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA with a mission “To establish God’s Kingdom in all nations by teaching and demonstrating the uncompromised word of God, thereby raising people who excel in all areas of life.”
Its inaugural service was held in the sitting room of their home in Kado Estate, Abuja, with eleven people in attendance.
Since its inception, the church has grown into a global ministry with a large congregation overseen by Pastors Andy and Ndidi Osakwe supported by an associate pastor, several assistant pastors, a robust church office staff and voluntary workforce. With its headquarters in Plot 1101 Kaura District, off Oladipo Diya Road, Between Games Village and Prince & Princess Estate, Abuja, Nigeria., the church currently has seven branches in Abuja-FCT (Kubwa, Kuje, Kabusa, Lugbe, Bwari, Jikwoyi and Gwagwalada), one in Keffi, Nasarawa State, one in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and one in Kissimmee, Florida, USA.
The Summit Bible Church also has several underlying ministries and fellowships, which include the Ekklesia Teens Church (the teenage church), Church in Antioch (the children’s church), Winning Women (the women’s fellowship), Band of Brothers (the men’s fellowship), and the Singles Network. There are several service teams where people who love to work for the Lord find a place to express their passions and desires.
In line with the Summit vision, which is “To see a revived, reformed and restored world operating with God’s kingdom culture”, Pastors Andy and Ndidi Osakwe have endeavoured to teach the uncompromised word of God, both locally and globally. God’s abundant blessings are seen manifested daily in the lives of members, as testimonies of God’s faithfulness are shared regularly.
The core doctrinal beliefs of the Summit Bible Church are:
- The infallibility of the Bible as the total counsel of God in written form and our guide pertaining to conduct and doctrine.
- The Godhead as the Trinity.
Our God is one, but manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-equal (Phil. 2:6). - Man, His Fall and Redemption
- Baptism (Immersion in Water and Baptism in the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues)
- Sanctification (the Bible teaches that without sanctification no man can see the Lord).
- Divine Healing (Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith).
- Resurrection Of The Just at The Coming Of Our Lord
- Hell and Eternal Retribution
Pastor Andy’s messages are broadcast on various television and radio stations around the globe. The TV outreach titled “Breakforth with Dr Andy Osakwe” can be viewed weekly on TBN Africa, Hosanna Broadcasting Network, and NTA Makurdi, Benue State. The radio broadcasts are aired daily on Nasarawa Broadcasting Station (NBS).
Every year the Summit Bible holds its annual life changing Word Conference in the first month of November to mark its anniversary. The 2022 edition was themed FULLNESS and saw popular names like Bishop Wale Oke, Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Prophet Tomi Arayomi, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo and many others minister the Word of God and spiritual songs powerfully.
The motto “Home of Champions” is not an exaggeration at all. Saints at the Summit Bible Church have every material and environment made available at their disposal for their maturity into the fullness of their ordination in Christ and become champions of the Kingdom of God on earth.
