What an amazing experience touring the Ark Project at Canaanland, Ota, International Headquarters of Living Faith Church WorldWide AKA Winners Chapel @ft_canaanland.
This project is huge, and every contractor is excited to do this project because it’s the largest they have ever done. More than 90% of the contractors and workers are Africans, as @davidoyedepomin prioritizes local content. People have issues with big churches. However, big churches are not the problem. It is believers that are not yet rising up to demonstrate their dominion in the marketplace that make it look as if the only exploit we can do is withn the 4 walls of the Church.
Italy hosts the Vatican City, which is a whole country inside another country and no one claims that the reason Italy is not developed is because of the Vatican. This is a legacy project that is being built debt FREE. It is excellence in architectural design because there is no single pillar in the over 109,000 sitter stadium-like Church sanctuary.
As a believer, I see my business as a ministry and know that the God that made Bishop to be able to pull a $200 million sanctuary will cause us to build businesses with asset value of $40 billion by 2035. I tour places like this, knowing my God who did it for my fathers in faith can do it for me.
I visited Venice and Rome in Italy 2020, and my tour of the Vatican was shocking. The crowd who came from different parts of the world for tourism made a lot of income for the Country.
At this time that naira is over N1500 to $1, tourism is a more trusted source of foreign exchange than oil. Nigerians always see the negativity in any growing industry instead of positivity.
Becoming the religious capital of the world is not a weakness. It can be turned to the source of Foreign Exchange. We can create massive employment in a nation of over 40% unemployed people.
As we drove through, all that kept coming to my mindset was, “Thank you, Jesus! Only you can do this!”
Our first stop was at the 12-storey office complex with 2 helipads for 2 helicopters to land per time. The vision is to be able to have helicopter companies provide shuttle services for out-of-state worshipers and foreigners coming from far distances.
Projects like this give me hope that God will not make a project like this possible if he doesn’t have a long-term plan for this nation. The good news I know is that religious expansion always precedes industrial growth of any civilization.
From Babylon to Egypt, to the Roman Empire, to the British Empire, the religion goes before the advancement. Even in Turkey, Malaysia, Indonasia, China, and Dubai.
Should I continue? God is up to something in Nigeria. It has started, and only those with deeper eyes have seen it and have taken position. It is not by mistake that one race dominates the music industry globally, the movie industry globally, Christianity, and Islam globally. Watch out for Nigeria! God is at work!
We took the elevator to the 12th floor, and then I had a first view of the massive construction of the Ark Project. I saw the proximity to the current Faith Tabernacle, which is 50,000 seater. A tube-like structure will connect Faith Tabernacle to the Ark, which means that at one service like Shiloh, over 200,000 people will have comfortable experience in the house of the Lord.
The stadium-like structure will have over 20 elevators with 4 main floors, and the 4th floor of the main bowl will get to the roof of the 12 storey office tower.
There is currently no structure like this in the world, and when it is finished, it will not just have 1 Guinness World Record but at least 10.
Over 20 chillers for the air conditioning are on ground already. Each chiller can cool 5000 people. There are over 1000 toilets from Church Gist records. The children church can seat 20,000 people.😁 Jesus!!! The figures were just shocking.
Many have asked me, where did you pick the boldness to dream big, and the courage to dare big projects from? My answer is Bishop David Oyedepo. A lion only gives birth to another lion. You cannot expect me to dare small projects when for over 20 years I have been mentored by a lion.
I needed this tour for our Katy project that will cost 100 – 150 million USD in the next 5 – 7 years. But I am encouraged and inspired big time. Glory to Jesus!
The 20 chillers (600 tons each) were already purchased in advance and would have been a major setback if they had waited till now because the dollar was $1 to N400 when the project began. Today, it is over N1500, which is more than 3 times.
One of the mistakes I made when we started construction was not raising funds before starting construction. Today, I know better. Always get your funding down before you move to the site.
Spirituality is not a substitute for proper planning and budgeting. You must plan well and budget well. I am learning this the hard way now in business. Many of us don’t know how powerful raising funds is. In my first 13 years in business, I only worked hard and smart, and I thought that’s all I needed. It took me years to know that smart work and hard work will only make you a millionaire in USD. No one has become a billionaire in USD without a network.
I know better now😊😊. Invest in a good network and raise good funds ahead of major projects. Being proactive is very key.
We discussed the communities close to the church fence and the option of buying the houses and land so as to expand the fence. Only to hear that those who had been advised to sell it for N15 million before now want to sell it for N50 million (They were being sold at N20, 000 per plot in 1998 and according to Church Gist, the Church purchased the first 530 acres for N200 million ($2.6 million). Before the work started was the best time to have bought those houses and land around that area.
I also learnt this the hard way. I don’t even show up for land until it’s fully under contract because when people know I am involved, they hike the price. When you have a big project, go and buy the surrounding environment before you announce the project.
Some of where Gtext have estates now, we planned universities, hospitals, schools, mega malls, and hotels, but no major hype yet until we have significant land size to avoid overprice.
Two helipads are at the roof of the 12 storey tower. I asked, “What if we have more than 2 helicopters per time?” He said, “Just inform us, and each chopper will drop passengers and take off to the proposed airport in hopefully Canaan City.”
Then the first thing that came to my mind was how Cannaland started when people felt no one would come to Ota from Raji-Oba in Iyana-Ipaja years ago.
Then Bishop started recording 50,000 people in a less than 10,000 capacity auditorium then. The same man today didn’t just build Faith Tabernacle with the help of God, but Covenant University in the same location. Now the Ark and an airport, and even planned for 15,000 housing units in future.
This is a case of what God cannot do does not exist. If a man can believe God absolutely as the source, nothing imagined will be impossible. Nothing!
It is time for believers to know that it is not only Pastors and physical churches that God wants to give visions like these. Your corporation can dream big and act big! Your cooperation can become huge and massive if you believe God.
I am believing God to use Gtext to build 25,000 houses in Africa and another 25,000 outside Africa, fully built and bought. I believe God that our empire will control 40 billion USD property portfolios by 2035.
We entered the stadium-like church structure, and I was in awe of its massiveness. ChurchGist. This structure is a manifestation of the scripture, “What eyes have not seen, what ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of men what God has prepared for those that love Him.”
We thought we had seen it all in 1999 when the Faith Tabernacle was commissioned, but I’ve learned over the years that God is the business of exceeding his previous achievements.
I always say that let your vision be so big that it’s only God that can help you. If you set a big goal and you achieve it, it’s an indication that you need to go bigger.
My God is not a small God. He only manifests to us based on the level of revelation we have of Him.
This is why I’ve decided that I am not doing any small project in my life. My vision of building 25,000 green and smart homes in Africa and America that have never been seen is possible.
I am not limited by my race because black is not synonymous with lack. I have the mentality that I can dominate in any sector I find myself, irrespective of the calibre of those ahead of me.
