I’ll like to welcome everyone quickly tonight. Very shortly, we will be looking at the Word and from there, we will get into the next levels. Subject is, “THE BEST FOR THE LAST”. Church Gist. I perceive that we shall run this subject for the last 3 months. The last 2 months, we have October vigil and then November is convention vigil and the next vigil will be crossover and so we are going to be very intense until we ensure that what God has in store is delivered. Church Gist. Our objective is to understand the God who reserves the best for the last. We serve the God who reserves the best for the last.
Job 8:7.
– Even if your January, February, April, May, June was small, yet your October, November, December should see great increase!
Ecclesiastes 7:8.
– for somebody seated here now, the best things you have ever seen this year will happen from today forward!
– between now and the 31st day of December 2023, your expectation for this year shall be greatly exceeded!
– if you believe that, shout the loudest Amen.
It is consistent throughout Scripture that the last easily becomes the best in the scheme of affairs with God. Church Gist. God ensures that the last is never the least. Look at 6 or 7 examples:
Before I go on, anyone who is here tonight who came to pick things, either phone or bag, it is calamity you came to pick and nobody can free you from it. Church Gist. If you came here and what you came here for is to steal or pick anything, if you mistakenly took a phone, the God who can heal can kill, “the Lord killeth and maketh alive”, the Lord who can send out of the prison can send in to the prison, don’t dare God! If you’re interested in stealing, you’re in the wrong place. Church Gist. You picked a bag or a phone mistakenly, just report and say, “excuse me, the phone entered” or “in fact, something happened and this phone is with me or a bag is in my possession”. Ushers, maintain vigilance because many are called but some are theives, Judas Iscariot was among them, that is why I don’t get too surprised. “Oh, they stole in Church”, oh yes, Judas was in Church, he was not just in Church, he was a disciple, he was a carrier of the bag but was a mega thief. Selah! Church Gist. Please, ushers and everybody, be vigilant.
– but tonight, nobody shall take your testimony!
1. The creation of Adam.
Everything else was created first, then Adam was created last. Church Gist. Animals were created first, then man was created last. The Best for the last.
2. Cain and Abel.
The killer was the one that was born first, the covenant servant, Abel, with covenant mentality was the one that was born last.
3. Isaac and Ishmael.
Isaac, the custodian of the generational greatness of the Abrahamic lineage was the one that was born last, the one who came first was a killer, killing till today.
4. Jacob and Esau.
The one who worshiped his stomach was born first and the one who understood the future was born last. Church Gist. Esau came out in a hurry, Jacob came out late but today on the earth, there’s no tribe of Esau but yet there’s the tribe of Israel. The best for the last.
5. The House of Jacob.
The one who will sleep with his father’s wife was the one that was born first, the worst was born first, Reuben. Church Gist. The one that is to deliver the whole family from extermination was almost born last, Joseph, number 11. The best of things of God, atimes, they don’t come out on time. Not all the time, atimes. God does not do serious things in a hurry. Church Gist. Major things that God does, mega things that God does, He doesn’t do them hurriedly.
So, there are some of us seated here today and wondering, “why has God not done the things that I have been expecting” because most likely what is coming is a major thing. Church Gist. Rats can deliver children every 28 days, it delivers in a hurry, elephants will deliver every 28 months, 2 years plus, it’s still pregnant, but when it borns its child, the size is already the size of an adult cow.

5. The life of Samson.
Samson got more victory at his end than at his beginning. He killed more people at his end than at his beginning. Judges 16:30. Church Gist. In his lifetime, he had victory but at the end of his life, his victory escalated. That is the God we serve.
7. The wine in Cana of Galilee.
The best wine came last. There was the first wine that was finishable, John 2:1-11, but there was a last wine that came last, it was a finishless wine.
My story is, when we were growing up in the Lord, when everybody was hearing God, I was hearing nothing. Church Gist. This one said he’s Apostle, I didn’t know what I was. This one said he’s Prophet, I didn’t know my calling. This one said he’s teacher, I didn’t know. Before we can say, “praise the Lord”, they have seen plenty vision, I saw nothing. So, I felt, “is something wrong with me?” Am I communicating? Church Gist. This one knows that his calling is to South Africa, Canada, I didn’t know where my calling was so tey one of them said that in his revelation, he saw that I will be working with him and under him, I said, “yes sir”. That one even saw wife for me, he was in a relationship and then saw who I should marry, not this one (his wife). I was too slow. Church Gist. I didn’t even grow physically on time. I’m two years senior to my immediate junior then, they will be asking us, “are you people twins?” by virtue of similarity of height and then became taller later. Everything seemed slow. When I finished secondary school, I had enough marks and points to go into medicine straight, yet I stayed at home. By the time I had entered the university, my classmates were already two years ahead. Church Gist. You see, you will think that everything just went straight, right? But when God said, it is time for the oil to flow, it is time for the mantle to land and step into destiny, ola ola, I stepped into what God began and it was pursue, overtake, recover all. Church Gist. Recover all the years that the cankerworm, caterpillar, the locusts and the palmerworm have eaten.
Atimes, it looks like God waits until the thinks he has won. It looks like God waits atimes until the devil thinks he has won the battle, then God appears with an element of surprise and takes that devil unawares. Church Gist. When they thought that they had finished with Jesus and crucified and buried Him, they even said that soldiers should wait there, “his disciples may come and steal Him in the night and they will say that he resurrected, all of you remain there! He’s thoroughly dead”. Church Gist. God said to the devil, “have you finished? Give me space” and God stepped into the space and when the soldiers were under Holy Ghosthesia, Holy Ghost anaesthesia, they were not aware. This Word does not belong to everybody but I know it’s for somebody.
– this end of the year, God will take the devil after you by surprise!
– when the devil thinks he has done his worst, my God and your God is showing up to do His best!
– look at your neighbour, say, “you’re in the season for the manifestation of the best of God this year!”
Our assignment right now is, “what do I do to trigger or accelerate Divine manifestation in this season?” If God is set to move, what do I do to see His move quickly?
Now, for those who say, “oh, all the things you’re telling us, this person is a first born, looks the first born was not useful” maybe you’re the first born or the second born and you’re wondering, no. All I have said so far is for the sake of illustration. There are many cases. Church Gist. Samuel was the first born, he carried the mantle. John the Baptist was the first born, even physically, Jesus was the first born in the family of Mary and Joseph, there were other children behind. So, that is just for the sake of balance so that you don’t feel lost, you don’t feel like, “okay, does it mean that I am an Esau or an Ishmael?” No, you’re not Esau nor Ishmael, you’re the correct first born.
– look at your neighbour, say, “you’re the correct one”.
There are 6 forces that we are going to pull in order in this season to experience Divine manifestation. Church Gist. It is forces to accelerate Divine manifestation to take full delivery of what God has for us.
1. The force of Faith expectation.
Every single day till the last day of this year, whatever you’re trusting God for, ensure that your expectation is intact. Church Gist. I would like you to know that faith expectation carries a magnetic pull for possession. That was what happened when Elisha and Elijah walked. 2 Kings 2:9-12. If you stop there, you can see the level of faith expectation in the heart of Elisha. When his master said, “what do you want?” He said, “I want double of the mantle you carry” and the master said, “if you see me when I’m taken, you will have it”. Elisha saw him and screamed, “my father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof”. Church Gist. This is the meaning, “I see you, I see you, chariots are carrying you, horses are carrying you” and then, his master went. When his master went and he didn’t see anything from his master, what did he do? He carried his own cloth and tore it into two, “I am looking for two mantles, a double”. Church Gist. He tore into two, “this is mantle one, mantle two. The condition is if I see you, I will have it. I saw it but even if I don’t have it yet, I tear what I have into two to represent two mantles”. When Heaven saw that, next verse happened, 2 Kings 2:13. Elijah was literally going with it (the mantle), in other words, “Elisha, you served me for 21 years but I think you should go and generate this thing yourself”. Church Gist. When Heaven saw his faith, his expectation and desperation was magnetic, it pulled down that mantle from Elijah. But he already tore his clothes into two, in other words, “whether you drop it or not, I have it” but it fell, so he carried it and the Bible said, “he wrapped his mantle together and stood in front of Jordan, ‘where is the Lord God of Elijah?’ Gbam, water tore into two. Church Gist. Listen to me, if your faith says yes, no man can say no. Even Elijah couldn’t say no when the faith of Elisha had said yes. Even God couldn’t say no when Elisha’s faith said, “yes, I have the mantle”. This is what I want you to do this year.
One crippled man in a crusade many years ago, he said to God, “I believe this preaching and I believe your Word. Lord, when they say, ‘do what you couldn’t do before’, I am going to run and Lord, if I run and my faith can’t carry me and I land on the floor because I believe, just take me from there, don’t let me wake up”. Church Gist. That is deadly faith. You know what? “In the name of Jesus, do what you couldn’t do before, move, walk, run”, he took off and the leg advised itself.
Let me tell you, if God can create the world in 6 days, your life is too small for him to treat in 6 hours. Church Gist. So, even on the 31st day of December, things will still happen.
One woman came to me about 20 years ago, “Pastor, these are my children’s clothes, pray for the clothes for the children” and I prayed, I said, ” go and bring forth, the last menstrual cycle you saw is the last”. Church Gist. She went and the menstrual cycle appeared as usual, she said, “menstrual cycle, you’re on your own, as for me, I have no arrangement or preparation for you”. That was how the cycle saw that it lacked attention, it advised itself and disappeared. Church Gist. That was very risky but it advised itself and disappeared. Nine months later, child was in the hand of the woman, Joshua was the name of that boy.
– lift your right hand and say, in the name of Jesus, I believe, I believe!
That was what the woman with the issue of blood did.
So, what is my counsel here? Possess, lay hold on any promise of God to you concerning your situation, hold it and remain unwavering in expectation until the end of the year and forever.
2. The force of desperate praying.
We are going to pray tonight, very desperate. Church Gist. Jacob prayed in Genesis 32:24-28. Hannah prayed, 1 Samuel 1:11-19, Jabez prayed, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, he prayed until from miserable, he became honourable by the force of desperate prayer. There are many of us who pray as ladies and gentlemen (praying calmly) and there are those who pray as if they are in the military. Church Gist. One woman was praying like that one day, somebody beside her said, “madam, you be soldier?” She was trusting God for the fruit of the the womb for a long time, it was a fight. Church Gist. That service did not pass her by. When I say pray tonight, pray like you’re fighting, “I won’t allow any devil to cheat me out of my inheritance. I won’t allow any devil to mock my faith in God. I cannot say I believe in God and it appears like I’m a liar”.

3. The force of obedience to divine instruction.
It is possible that there’s something God wants you to do, doing it will expedite His manifestation. Church Gist. Jehosaphat and the army of Judah needed water and God said, “make this valley full of ditches”, 2 Kings 3:16-17, they did it and immediately, answers came. The Prophet whose widow was kwing money, God said to her through Elisha, “get vessels not a few, carry the pot of oil in your house and pour out the oil” and she did, it multiplied. 2 Kings 4:4. Church Gist. Wedding in Cana of Galilee, they had no wine. Mary, the mother of Jesus said, John 2:5, “whatever he saith to you, do it” and they did it, answers came. Luke 45:4-5.
Beloved brothers and sisters, if there’s nothing you will do throughout the remaining balance of this year, “Lord, please, if there’s anything you’re saying to me that I am not hearing, cause me to hear it”. Church Gist. There’s just one step between your position and your destination, it is an instruction. You can do all the usual and regular things and nothing changes until you dreamt the dream or you heard something that God said, you just did it and all of a sudden, a story changes. Church Gist. So, the first thing is knowing what God is saying to you and the second thing is doing it with all your strength.
– I prophesy to somebody here, anything God needs you to do before this year is over for you to see the results you need to see, I announce to you today, you shall hear!
– my God and your God shall open your ears to hear God and to know what he is saying to you!
I told you when I was beginning in life, people were hearing things and I wasn’t hearing anything, they were seeing things, I never saw anything. It didn’t continue forever, after a while, God showed up. Church Gist. That is how come I married who I’m married to. It is by revelation. I didn’t go to two women in this world to say, “I want to marry you”, one, I was led to one. If you were led to many, don’t feel bad, I was led to one, that’s the one I’m married to. I wasn’t led into so many things to do, I was led into ministry. Church Gist. This place you are now was by divine leading, I saw a revelation in the night where I came on the airport road and I saw a landmark with the area of the land after the landmark. For a long time, we looked for land, went everywhere and God said, “remember what I showed you in the night”. We got our property agent, I said, “when you get to airport road, after so and so place, look right, that is where our land is. Go and look for land there”. Under one week, he came back, he said, “I have found land in that place you talked about. They have over 500 hectares, any amount you want to buy, they can sell”. Church Gist. Long story made short, that is how we are here. The direction came later.
– maybe you’re deaf and dumb, I command you, your ears are opening right now! Your spiritual understanding is opening right now! Your eyes are opening right now!
– what you need to know for your story to change, this year, you shall know it!
– if you believe that, say a loud Amen!
4. The force of sacrifice.
The life of Hannah exemplifies sacrifice. 1 Samuel 1:11-18. “Lord, I have been coming to this program all these years but now I want to make a sacrifice. Give me a son and I will give that son back to you” and God said, “are you ready for that? It’s a deal, have the son” and she said, “have the son, the priest”. Church Gist. Immediate divine intervention happened for Hannah. Church Gist. Secondly, immediate divine intervention happened for the Prophet Samuel, he was in the midst of the battle, 1 Samuel 7:9-12. Sacrifice makes God answer on the spot. Immediate intervention happened for Solomon in 2 Chronicles 1:6-7. Church Gist. Let me tell you, there are issues of your life, you’ve prayed, done this and that, you don’t know what else to do, the altar of sacrifice is the altar of captivity turnaround.
Why is it that many of us claim to have given to God and nothing changed? One simple answer, most times, people didn’t give sacrifice, they gave what they could. Church Gist. Let me give you one example of sacrifice: a young man met me sometime ago and he said to me, “Pastor, I’ve never told you what changed my life. We were in Area 1 in 2017 in the heat of the construction of the Glory Dome and I said ‘dedication is drawing nearby and there’s still this and that to do. My wife and I could do this personally but we want give people the opportunity to do it’. This young man, no house, he was squatting somewhere in Gwagwalada, not married, he was saving money until he had saved 50,000 naira. Church Gist. Everywhere in this world, if you hit him on the ground, the only thing that come out is 50,000. He said, when he heard that in Church, he told the person he wanted to marry, he said, “please run to (where he was squatting), check the suit pocket, inside it, there’s 50,000 naira that I have been saving, don’t touch one naira out of it, take all of it to Church”. Church Gist. When he did it, he said, two weeks later, someone called him and said, “can you execute any job?” Long story made short, that 50,000, the first job he got was 100 million. When he got that job, he didn’t even have money to execute that thing, so he recruited a friend to do for him. He was able to get 20 million out of it, that was where his life started. Church Gist. 2017 is 5 years now, as at today, he’s in billions. If he’s given projects of 20-something billion, that is average today. Maybe he’s here now as I’m talking, if you see him on the road and they say he’s worth 10 million, you won’t believe it. Sacrifice blew his life. Church Gist. Most people don’t understand sacrifice, they carry Coke money, money they will use to drink coke, they will put it and say, “I have sacrificed”.
When we went to England in the month of August before the Ministers’ conference, people were challenged to sacrifice towards the crusade. Church Gist. People gave but one person said he’s going to charter the whole plane to take us to the UK, takes us to Leeds, from Leeds to Luton and all the way back. If you go to the airport and ask for an aircraft that is like 14-15 seater that charter to the UK and back for one week, how much. Not taxi to Lugbe oh. Church Gist. When we came back, he called me and said, summary, what came to him was exactly a thousand times. I did mathematics very well, I’m just avoiding the mentioning of figures. Calm down, don’t have hypertension.
– I prophesy to somebody here today, God is about to turn around your captivity by the power of sacrifice!
– if you see a change of story coming your way, shout the loudest Amen!
It’s also part of what you can tell God, “Lord, show me what to do to turn around my life and destiny” and he will show you.
5. The force of Praise.
Abraham gave praise while he expected the promised child. Romans 4:20. Jonah secured his future by the altar of praise. He was in the belly of the fish when he decided that he will praise God. Church Gist. Jonah 2:9-10. Acts 16:25. Paul and Silas were in prison, they praised and suddenly, God stepped in and captivity turned. Church Gist. We are going to praise tonight.
– every prison where the devil has kept you, that prison is opening now!
Don’t carry long face so that you don’t experience long journey. There are people frowning all the time, it’s not because of you the devil was manufactured. Church Gist. Don’t behave like that. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”. Did He say let everybody that has a car, married, has a child or built a house praise the Lord? Who is to praise the Lord? Who has breath here? Confirm that you’re alive by your praise.
– look at your neighbour say, “confirm that you’re alive to God by your praise and God will supply you more life!”
Listen, in Area 1 I said, praise is the house rent we pay to renew tenancy on the earth. Landlords collect house rent from you, the only rent Jehovah wants to collect is praise so that you can continue to live on His earth. Church Gist. That was why when Prophet Isaiah said Hezekiah was going to die, Hezekiah said, “only the living can praise you, the dead cannot praise you, the grave cannot celebrate you. I will sing, I will praise and dance” and God said, “return back to Hezekiah and tell him, I renew his rent for 15 years” and he lived for 15 more years. Church Gist. Some people argued that maybe he shouldn’t have lived for that 15 years because it was during those years that he gave birth to evil Manasseh. But well, maybe there was something else he would have done so that Manasseh was not as evil as he was but the truth is, God renewed his tenancy. Church Gist. “To him that is joined to the living, there’s hope” and God cannot give you life and cause you to live a frustrated life.
– I announce today, as we praise, every frustration in your life expires! Every grave and every prison holding your life and destiny, I declare, it opens up now!
– somebody say a loud Amen!
6. The force of consecrated service.
Your service to God, that it is consecrated means separated, Godly service, upright service to God causes God to intervene. Luke 22:35. Exodus 23:25.
– I see God fulfilling somebody’s days here tonight!
Do you know what God told the High Priest in Israel? Numbers 18:20. “Other people can share land but I give me to you. Because you’re serving me, don’t join them to divide land, carry me, I am yours, since you’re mine”. Church Gist. That is, God owns you, you own Him, the God of Abraham, Abraham of God. Am I communicating at all? Don’t waste your life pursuing things, waste yourself pursuing God. That’s the conclusion of this matter tonight. Church Gist. Don’t waste the whole of your lifetime pursuing things, people and earthly things, waste your life pursing God, when you pursue God, you’re at the end of all pursuits. “Aaron, don’t struggle to look for what they’re looking for, look for me and I dash you myself”. Is it not a mystery to you? We are in Minna next week, Thursday, Friday, crusades, Saturday morning, we are in the Campus setting students on fire. Church Gist. We are having a joint campus crusade for any campus in Niger State, they are all meant to merge in Federal University of Technology, Minna on Saturday. We come back, the following week, after that, we are on our way to Zimbabwe crusade, South Africa crusade and Ministers’ conference. Return back, the next month, we are back to Pakistan. Church Gist. And I should beg for cloth to wear and food to eat? I don’t have time for my life but I have time for His work. I respect people, I value people but I pursue God. I have seen people say, “I have waited for Pastor for 3,5 hours”, I say, “that is a waste of life. I wish you can waste those 5 hours in God’s presence on deep Worship, blast in tongues for those 5 hours and ask God to change your story. Church Gist. I’m not saying there’s no need for counseling but instead of complaining. Let me tell you my own story so that you will know that it’s not only you. So, I have been in ministry and seeing a lot of results but I saw a man of God that have been moving in so much power, I value how he was moving. Church Gist. The blind eyes were opening like water. I was seeing results but this one was very sharp. Then, this would be like 17 years ago, I heard that the man was coming to Lagos, I told the Pastor where he was visiting that I want to come, he said I could come. I went all the way to Lagos, sat in the meetings, they refused me to see the man. I wasn’t a failure, we had Church that was already creating a lot of impact and waves around the world. Church Gist. I came all the way and I couldn’t see the man. I wrote this thing that I’m telling you now in “Go in This Thy Might”. So, I went to the hotel and I knelt down and was praying and thanking the Lord for the day and God said to me, “what you’re looking for is with me not with you. Just seek me and whatever it is you need, you will have it”. So, I dashed myself more to God, then, everything escalated and exploded. Church Gist. That is half of the story. One day, I was in my office and I saw some people from the country of that man and they said, “so and so person said we should come and greet you and to say that he has heard so much about you and to request when can you come to minister in his ministry?”. I said, “really? Alright, tell him that I will come”. Church Gist. So, I went all the way to the country, preached and preached and all manner of things happened, we did night vigil, day meetings. I will stop there because if I describe too much, some of you who have been old enough don’t guess where it was. The man’s wife said, “this is my type of man of God, miracles everywhere, Word very solid. This is what I’m looking for”. Church Gist. Since then, the man and myself have been close. I don’t know if he knows the story but I never told him the story that I was once in pursuit and God said, “pursue me”. This is the same word to somebody, instead of blaming anybody that somebody, whether a man of God, man of business or a man of any profession has refused to see you, tell God, “I want to see you, whatever I’m looking for from this man, can you give it to me?”.
We are dedicating a complex in Maraba Church next Sunday and then this Sunday, we have 7 hours in God’s presence, independence day service, from 7am until the devil returns back to hell. Church Gist. One day, God told me, He said, “show the people, raise them with what raised you”. That is, paraphrased, don’t let them come and you fish and give them fish, show them the way of fishing. When you pursue God, miracles are the byproducts. Church Gist. When God means more to you than any man or woman on earth, anything that people look for, they are the byproducts.
– it’s a new day for you! It’s a new season for you!
And no matter how far God raises you, never forget where you’re coming from. Church Gist. Immediate Past Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, we are happy to have you in our midst, Professor Kennedy and all of them. That is, in season, out of season, identity with God. It doesn’t matter how far you go or where is your realm, never be too big. Because there are some people God sees what you will do tomorrow if He helps you, then He says, “leave him there”. We went to a state one day for crusade and somebody came and said, “the Governor is not in town, the Deputy Governor said you people should come and pay a visit to them”. Church Gist. I said, tell them, “it’s not because of them that we came, we came here because of souls and people. You’re too big to come for meetings and identify with God and I carry the oil on my head and you’re asking me to come, you don’t know who you’re talking to.” I’m sure they’ve never heard such an answer before. Church Gist. We came because of souls, we came to deliver the land.
