– Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “THE BLESSING OF THE LORD” || Blessing Sunday Service || Glory Dome, Abuja.
It’s our Blessing Sunday in our month of The Glory is Risen in Supernatural abundance. We are looking at the subject, “The Blessing of the Lord”. Provers 10:22. Church Gist. Our objective this morning is to understand the impact of the blessing of the Lord, first. And secondly, is to understand the way to that blessing.
By way of introduction, it’s important to know that;
1. The blessing of the Lord in the life of a person is an asset of great worth and value. Church Gist. An asset of irreplaceable worth and value.
2. It is important to note also that the blessing of the Lord is the secret behind enviable existence on earth. Church Gist. What was it that made the Philistines to envy Isaac in Genesis 26:24? It was the blessings of God.
3. The blessing of the Lord is behind existence with greatness and influence in the earth. Church Gist. The blessing of the Lord in the life of Job in Job 1:1-3. Influence and greatness. Job 1:10.
Now, from this Scripture of Proverbs 10:22, What is the assignment of the Blessing? I’m going to pull out three assignments. Church Gist. There are many things that the blessing can do but for the sake of this passage, we are looking at 3.
1. The Blessing of the Lord “maketh”. That is, life and destiny construction. Behind the making of people is the blessing of God. Church Gist. The blessing of God is behind the construction of life and destiny. What does that mean? It means the blessing of God is behind the manufacturing of life and destiny. “It maketh”. It means also that the Blessing of God is behind the processing of life and destiny. It constructs and manufactures your life and destiny. Church Gist. What does that mean? By the blessing of the Lord, a person can be processed from raw material to finished product. You were a raw material before, everything about you was raw, nothing was finished, nothing was perfect. Church Gist. In fact, nobody expected much from your life, very raw, without form and void, and all of a sudden, the blessing of the Lord took you from raw material to finished product.
When you were in your raw material stage, people don’t expect much from you. In fact, they don’t give you any chance to succeed, they conclude on you before you even start anything. My life was like that. Church Gist. Childhood, where people look at you and talk down on you but when the blessing of God takes you as a raw material, it doesn’t leave you until it takes you to finished product.
– there are people seated here this morning, I announce to you today, the blessing that I preach about is taking you from raw material to finished product!
– the blessing is processing Nigeria from where we are today to where we are going!
You’re processed from raw material into finished product; you’re processed from your past into your future by the blessing. Church Gist. From where you have been to where you’re meant to be, you can be processed by the blessing of God.
Our first and only example in this matter would be Abraham. The blessing of God processed Abraham. You know what God told him? Genesis 12:2. That is, I take you from a small unknown person to a great notable nation. Church Gist. If there’s nothing we see in that regard today, we see the nation of Israel. Abraham came out of a family that is unknown, a family of remotely disconnected people, background people but He took him from an unknown person to a renowned person. Took him out of obscurity to notoriety, to authority by the Blessing. Church Gist. Beloved, it is the blessing that is behind greatness and enlargement. It is the blessing that makes any man anything.
Hear this, to become anything in this life, and maintain relevance in eternity, you require the Blessing of God. Church Gist. Because, there are people who are something on earth but they end their lives in the torments of hell, not Abraham. Abraham was blessed on earth and still had a bosom in Heaven. Am I communicating? Until Lazarus was taken to Abraham’s bosom. Church Gist. Until the rich man who was perishing in hell was asking for a drop of water. I don’t like the kind of success that makes me successful on earth and makes me a failure in eternity. I like the kind of success where I am a success on earth and that success is maintained in eternity.
– anybody who is succeeding like that, say a loud Amen!
– say after me, “to be big, to be influential, to be great, to be successful in the earth and in eternity, I must be made by the blessing!”
If you look at Exodus 2:13-14, you will see the story of a man who was trying to be somebody without being made. Church Gist. Why do you want to be important without being made? How do you want to be big without being made? You’re not permitted to lead until you’re made. A man that is not made by God cannot lead among men. Every attempt to make yourself is to mock yourself. Church Gist. Don’t ever struggle to make yourself, let God make you and when God has made you, no devil can mock you. That journey took Moses into the wilderness for 40 years, that question, “who made you”. Church Gist. If you’re made by God, you’re made indeed. If you’re not made by God, you have failed indeed.
– look at your neighbour, say, “allow God to make you”. Say, “process me, oh God, into what you want me to be”.
What made Peter to become the head of the Apostles? He was made. Luke 5:10. He added to that in Matthew 16:17 when Peter got the revelation of who he was and He released the blessing to conclude that making. Matthew 16:17-18. Church Gist. Peter was processed by the Blessing to become the rock of the early Church. Actually, his name meant rock. A foundational apostle in the early Church. This is why you need the Blessing so that God can make you who and what He wants you to be.
– today, I announce to somebody, every devil fighting your making, that devil shall be collapsed by the power of the blessing this morning, in the name of Jesus!
– every devil fighting the making of Nigeria, that devil shall be collapsed by the power of the Blessing!
The proof of victory is joy and celebration. Epidemic of joy and celebration. Every time there’s a talk of victory without accompanying joy and celebration, it is defeat that was given the cloth of victory. Selah. Church Gist. I won’t say it again, if you didn’t hear it the first time, go and look for where to hear it (laughs).
– I announce today, every devil fighting the making of Nigeria, by the power of the Blessing, that devil shall be buried! Say Amen like a believer.
– say after me, “father, process me with your blessing, by your blessing, oh Lord, in the name of Jesus! every force resisting my making and the making of out nation in this season, you’re collapsed now by the blessing of the Lord, in the name of Jesus!”
2. It maketh rich. That is, Divine supply and provision. The Blessing of the Lord throughout Scripture has a signature of supernatural supply and abundance. Church Gist. Throughout Scripture, anywhere you see the Blessing, there’s that signature of Divine and supernatural supply and abundance. Abraham’s life, you know, loaded with the blessing. Genesis 24:1. Isaac’s life, you know. Genesis 26:12-14. Jacob’s life, you know. Genesis 31:41-42. Church Gist. Joseph’s life, you know. God gave Joseph a position of influence in Genesis 41:39-44 that made him to control the wealth and resources of the whole of Egypt. You know of David, Solomon and Job. Job 1:1-3.
The blessing of the Lord has a signature of supernatural supply and Divine abundance.
– this month, when men say they’re cast down, you shall say there’s a lifting up!
– I decree, I announce that the systems are coming under pressure. They shall lose their sleep and peace and rest until everything that is yours enters your hands.
How does the blessing make right?
2a. The Blessing empowers for the conquest of resources. Deuteronomy 8:18. What does that mean? First of all, it means, it empowers you to deal with the forces that hold back your resources. You’re empowered to deal with the forces that hold back what is yours. Church Gist. Whether it is witchcraft power, occultic power, whatever power it is that holds back what is yours, you’re empowered to deal with them. Also, it empowers you to take delivery of what is yours.
2b. The Blessing establishes favour for the attraction of relevant people, opportunities and resources. Blessed people are naturally favoured people. Genesis 39:22. Church Gist. When you carry Blessing, you carry favour and when you carry favour, you attract the people and opportunities you need for your life. You attract the resources you need for your life, you just jam them.
2c. The Blessing establishes the traffic of Divine supplies. It’s like there’s a traffic control officer that is controlling traffic in the direction of your life. 1 Kings 10:14. Church Gist. Solomon, the blessed man was not actually struggling for gold, gold was coming to him. There’s a traffic. I’m sure you remember the commanded blessing. Psalm 133:1-3. So, there’s a commanded blessing, blessing under pressure; blessing that has been sent on errand.
– There are people seated here this morning, in the name of Jesus, I prophesy, that blessing that is commanded for you, that belongs to you shall locate you! From this moment forward, there shall be a traffic of resources and supplies that shall look for you from every quarter.
– you believe in that, shout the loudest Amen!
2d. The Blessing facilitates unusual productivity and resourcefulness. There’s literally an impartation of energy that comes with the Blessing. Genesis 1:28. Genesis 26:12. Church Gist. Blessed people don’t sit idle, they do something and whatever they touch, explodes. Deuteronomy 28:8. You will command the blessing on all you set your hand to. Church Gist. So, there’s an unusual resourcefulness, energy that blessed people operate with.
2e. The Blessing facilitates the release of Divine wisdom for supernatural supply. Blessed people have unusual Divine wisdom, innovativeness, inventiveness. Church Gist. It facilitates for them, mental resourcefulness. The kind that Abraham had that made him to invent the modern ranching technique. It came upon Isaac and he invented irrigation farming and of course, Jacob took it further to the realm of genetic engineering. Genesis 30:37. Church Gist. He was literally changing the genetics of the animals by what he did.
– somebody say a loud Amen.
– I see inventors here, creators of things. This year, you shall explode! I see people in the ICT realm. I see people in the computer realm.
I was telling somebody the other day, I said, most of the world’s billionaires are not even born again and most of them are social media based. Church Gist. From Twitter, Facebook, even Amazon. I don’t know of their relationship with God. But there’s nothing that says, the Church, the people of God don’t have that frequency of wisdom. Church Gist. Something changed in our days. In those days, 99% of those kinds of people were from the Church. Michael Faraday, Isaac Newton, all of them. 99% of the people of those days who were in that realm were from the Church. Church Gist. Not just Church, some were preachers. Newton who wrote Newton’s law of universal gravitation, he wrote more about preaching than he wrote on physics. Church Gist. Faraday’s laws of electrolysis, Micheal Faraday. But I see something happening in our days. I see the breakout of wisdom upon somebody.
– if you’re that one, you will say a loud Amen!
– lift your right hand, say, “father, I receive the wisdom of the blessing to conquer the resources for the Kingdom. I receive it now!”
3. Joy, fulfillment, celebration. What is the meaning of this?
3a. The Blessing antagonizes the forces of sadness, sorrow and heaviness. That is why this morning, we have come here for the blessing of the Lord to saturate our land, our lives and our nation. Church Gist. Proverbs 10:22. It antagonizes the forces of sadness. Isaiah 65:17-19;23.
– say, “the voice of sorrow and the voice of sadness can never be heard in our land forever!”
3b. The Blessing unlocks the fountain of joy and excitement, even in adverse situations. Why do I say so? Joseph was in the prison, that was an adverse situation but yet because he carries the blessing of God, he was not cast down. Genesis 40:6-7. The Blessing unlocks the fountain of joy and excitement even in adverse situations. You know, there are wealthy people who have no joy and excitement because money can’t give joy, it’s only the Lord that can give joy.
– I prophesy the fountain of joy is being unlocked in our land right now!
3c. The Blessing of God orchestrates the manifestation of joy-producing results or outcomes. That is, the Blessing on your life will make things that will cause joy to happen in a chain. Isaiah 65:17-19. Church Gist. The other day, who had just returned from America to do “omugwo” and from there, straight, went for another child that delivered in Nigeria. From joy to joy. About two years ago, we were with a man, one of God’s servant, 3 children of marriageable age, married in one year- one after the other. And I said, “this is so exciting”. Church Gist. He said, “yes, that is the Blessing after the order of Isaac that the Lord blessed him in the same year. Everything happening in the same year”. That is what the blessing of God does. That is why there’s no devil that is devilish enough to sink our land in sorrow.
– lift your right hand, say, “father, we receive the release of your blessing on our land in this season. We receive it now!
What is the way of the blessing?
1. Productivity, resourcefulness, industriousness. Genesis 1:28. God does not bless idle people. God cannot bless lazy people. God cannot bless lethargic people. Deuteronomy 28:8. Church Gist. God is looking for what you’re doing with your life. I knew longest time that there’s nothing I will do with my life that I will fail. I knew it long ago. Productivity, resourcefulness, industriousness If work does not meet you, meet work. somebody said if your boat does not come to shore on time, swim and meet it. Church Gist. If good things do not happen to you, happen to them. Matthew 11:12. The days we are in now are not the days where someone will be idle and sitting down and doing nothing.
I knew a man, we were talking many years ago, he said, “I don’t like the kind of women that have to depend on you for everything”. I said, “which type do you like?” He said, “I like working class one. The ones that are working and making money by themselves and they have enough substance”. Really? It’s good, if yourself, you’re like the woman as well. Church Gist. But if you’re waiting to feed off on the woman, you’re not a man. Look for a skirt and wear. Church Gist. Don’t ever let your wife becry, “I am the only one handling the children at home, paying school fees”, don’t ever, as long as you have two hands and legs and you can stand and move. If you’re in a situation of challenge, it’s understandable, we can pray for you and trust God to bring you out of that challenge. But when you’re just sitting down like that, doing nothing because you know madam will rescue the family, that is irresponsibility of masculinity. Church Gist. You’re setting a very bad example for your children. Not everybody that is a male is a man. Being a male is a matter of birth, you didn’t do anything about it, you didn’t decide, you were just born a male. But being a man is a matter of maturity and responsibility. If you’re a male and you’re not mature and you’re not responsible, you’re not a man yet, you’re still a male. Church Gist. I don’t know why I had to digress here but this is very important. Daughters of Zion, if you’re not yet married and it is time to be married, look for a man, not just a male, not just a boy. Males, pleasure mature and be responsible and become a man on time, so you can fulfill your destiny, so you can make it easy and so that precious sisters and daughters of God are not looking outside Church for who to marry, for men. Church Gist. I don’t want men to be scarce because I am a man, and like begets like. Eagles give birth to eagles, vultures give birth to vultures, lions give birth to lions, bingos give birth to bingos.
– I prophesy upon this house, the grace to accept responsibility, the grace to mature and grow up and become who God wants you to be is released upon you now!
2. Existence as a Blessing. If you want God to bless you, you must make up your mind to be a blessing. A blessing to the Kingdom of God first because He said, “seek ye first the Kingdom of God” in giving and tithing. Church Gist. I told our account department yesterday and I said, “everywhere that the buses need to pick people to Church from, make it available so they can be brought to Church. If as accounts unit, you have any challenge with the payment of it, let me know what the price is, I will look from my own resources and pay for the people to come and hear God. I don’t want to hear it next time that there was insufficient transportation for the people. What is the use of money except to use it to impart the Kingdom”. Church Gist. I’m not saying it to brag or to boast. I’m just saying, that shouldn’t be a reason why somebody didn’t come to Church.
What would we carry out of this life when it is time? Matthew 6:19. Being a Blessing to the Kingdom first in diverse giving. A blessing to humanity, to mankind. I was given an honorary doctorate from Benue State University. Church Gist. That was not my first honorary doctorate, but that was the first one that I agreed to go and accept. There are others they brought to me in the office and thus one happened because it coincided with the crusade we were holding in Makurdi, for one reason or the other. While we were doing that, among those who had PhD was a lady who came with a leg amputated. Church Gist. She came, collected and was going. I went to the VC of the university and said, “you know what? That lady that just received a doctorate, I want to assist to fix the leg”. I have never met her from nowhere, I was seeing her for the first time. You don’t have one leg and you were able to study to get a PhD and there are people with two legs just lazying away their lives. Church Gist. The VC just stood up and announced it, “the lady who just came out with the amputated leg, the Pastor of Dunamis said, he’s going to fix the artificial leg so you can walk normal”. The lady was overwhelmed. She said, “sir, please, I want to snap with you”. I said, “come, let’s snap”. Church Gist. That’s what life is all about. You’re moving about, your eyes are open, “who can I be a blessing to? Whose life can I touch? Whose life can I make a difference in?” And then God says, “is that how you want to live? Church Gist. Then, I’ll empower you to ensure that when you want to help somebody, you’re not paralyzed, you’re frustrated, hindered or limited. I will bless you so you can be the blessing you want to be”.
– God is going to bless you!
– lift your right hand, say, “father, I receive the grace to be a blessing to my world. I receive it now!”
I went somewhere to preach, the Pastor of the Church, that Pastor, maybe 20 years, seemed to be among the 3 big pastors in that town. The car they brought to pick was so challenged. That was the Pastor’s car. one eye was gone, one windscreen was not there. Church Gist. I said, “Pastor, I have this kind of car too. Send somebody to come and pick it in 7 days. I don’t want you to be driving this kind of car”. I had only one of that car and I didn’t have a second car at that time. They sent and came and picked it.
I went to Lagos to preach, the Pastor who came to pick me at the airport carried a taxi to come and pick me. Church Gist. I said to him, “where’s you car?” He said that they’re building in their Church and he has given his car as a seed to the Church. “Okay, you sold your car as a seed to the Church? I will give you my own as a seed to you”. I had the same car. Church Gist. That is why, if you don’t know people’s stories, you won’t understand their glory. People think that things just happen just like that. You need to understand sacrifices and the things people do that you have no idea.
I went to preach in a Church in Sokoto, I came, there’s no roof. I said, “why?” They said they have tried their best, they couldn’t roof the Church. I said, “really? All right. I’m going to give so and so amount, anybody who wants can join me” and on and on. Church Gist. I’m not saying these things to impress you but until stories are told, principles are not communicated. When you just make up your mind, decide, “Lord, I am a blessing to my world”, then you can become a blessing.
3. Kingdom service. Exodus 23:25-26. The service of soul winning, changing lives, service in the House and every other form of service. Church Gist. If you want the blessing of God, don’t sit idle in Church.
– I believe it’s a new day for somebody!
Just get yourself busy with the works of the Lord. Don’t get yourself busy with the worries of this world. Just get yourself busy with the work and the work will take care of the worries.
