Warri is significant as the most developed non-capital city or town in Nigeria. It is also one of the oil producing towns in Nigeria with the privilege of owning one of Nigeria’s 4 government owned Petroleum refineries.
Church Gist reports that Warri has some of the largest headquarters or branches of Nigerian Churches such as the International Gospel Center of the Ayo Oritsejafor Word of Life Church, Bishop Wisdom Irabor led Answers’ Assembly, Water Resources Branch of Living Faith Church, Champions Cathedral of RCCG as well as Dunamis and Christ Embassy just to mention a few among many others.
The City of Warri whose traditional head is the born again first class ruler, Olu of Warri, a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church also hosts the Warri Wolves Football Club.
Fortunately her stadium which has been dilapidated for a long time has now received the impact of the presence of Churches in Warri as she has been renovated by the Pastor Korede Komaiya led Master’s Place International Church providing jobs for hundreds of citizens as she prepares to spread the gospel in her Warri Crusade. Presently the Master’s Place International Church is undertaking the massive 5000 capacity auditorium Dreamland Church Phase 1 Project with massive jobs for the people of Warri in all ramifications.
