THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS A COVERING FROM DISASTER.
– Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “THE COVERING OF GOD” || May Preservation (Midweek) Service || Glory Dome, Abuja.
This evening, we shall be speaking on the subject, “The Covering of the Lord”. Our passage is from Deuteronomy 33:12. Church Gist. Our objective tonight is actually same as the subject; “understanding the covering of the Lord”.
Today, we live in a world of very terrible wickedness. Wickedness that has become very bold; wickedness that has gone public; wicked that is unimaginable. At a time such as this, we need to take cover. Church Gist. Military people know what it means to take cover. We need to take cover. I will say, the best form of cover we can take is the covering of God. Take cover in God and under God.
I am going to look at examples in Scripture where people existed under the covering of the Lord;
1. Moses. Moses lived in Egypt, a land that was hostile to his people of Israel, a land where Israelites were dying like flies. In that land of Egypt, Moses did not just exist in the nation, he existed in the palace. Church Gist. Exodus 2:10. He lived in the palace of Pharaoh. The magicians could not decode him, the astrologers could not detect him, the forecasters could not forecast him because he was under the covering of God. Church Gist. It is clear that when God covers a man, no devil can uncover them. When God hides a person, no devil can find them. Exodus 33:21-23.
– I believe tonight that there are people seated here that God will place in the rock of Himself, that God will cover by His hand and no devil or power from hell, no witchcraft or occultic power, no power of stray bullet will be able to locate you where God shall hide you!
Somebody said, “was that only meant for Moses?” No, it could be for you as well. Isaiah 33:15-16. Church Gist. That is God saying, “what I did was not just for Moses, it can be for anybody”.
2. Jacob and his family. Genesis 35:5. They journeyed but there was something God used to cover them, it was terror. When you came near them, you didn’t feel fire, you felt fear. Church Gist. There was something about them that made it that your heart will break when you think of them. You will have palpitations and tachycardia when you just imagine them. Imagine their hurt and your heart is failing. The terror was round about them.
– there are people seated here today that will experience the terror of the Lord roundabout your life!
– somebody lift up your right hand, say, “I am stepping into the terror of the Lord. I am unharmable because I am surrounded with the terror of the Lord”.
By the time tonight is over, you will realize that you’re too fortified to be victimized and afreighted. Church Gist. No witch is witchy enough, no wizard is wizardry enough except they came to die.
3. Benjamin. Deuteronomy 33:12. There’s a place you can dwell that no matter how mad the mad man is, he can’t look for you there. Church Gist. There’s a way a father will carry a child in his father and they say a mad man ran from the road is pursuing the child, that day, the mad man would know that there’s madness that is madder madness. Church Gist. That day, the mad man may not return back alive, not to talk of return mad. Benjamin had the experience of being in the embrace of God.
4. David. Psalm 91:1-4. David was so covered. Psalm 23:1-4.
5. Job. Before fear came, Job experienced the covering of the Lord. Job 1:10.
– look at your neighbour, say, “Divine covering is real”.
6. Paul the Apostle and the company that traveled with him. Acts 27:21-25.
– somebody say, “There shall be no loss”.
– I prophesy upon someone here today, your family, your life, your job, your employment, your engagement, anything you lay your hands on to do, in this preservation service for the month of May, there shall be no loss!
What are the channels for the covering of the Lord? In other words, what does God use to cover us? What are the instruments, channels or avenues of covering?
1. The presence of the Lord. That is, His presence alone is a covering. Psalm 91:1. Psalm 23:4. The other day, somebody sent me a clip of one of the Middle-eastern kings who had behind him a robot bodyguard. Church Gist. That robot bodyguard is like 3 or 4 times the height of the man and very massive. It’s almost like the height of Goliath. It is said that that one bodyguard can fight and shoot and kill hundreds of people at once from every side. I think it cost him 6 million dollars to manufacture it. Church Gist. But, by the time you see that guy coming behind this short man, nobody needs to tell you, “just clear out”. That’s an ordinary robot, imagine the presence of El-Shaddai. Imagine the presence of I AM that I AM, where the presence of the demons and the witches and wizards are looking at you and they realize, “I don’t like this man but I can’t near him”. Church Gist. The Lord uses His presence to cover. He hasn’t said anything, He’s just around. Like they used to say in our place, “if they born you well, cross”.
– I announce to somebody here today, that presence of the Lord shall be real in your life!
If human beings can manufacture these (robots) to protect themselves, how much more El-Shaddai?
– will you stand and give the King a shout of victory?
2. The terror of the Lord. Genesis 35:5. That is, God spray terror around you, there’s a climate around. Like I said earlier on, when they come to confront you, they may not jam fear, they jam fear. Church Gist. All of a sudden, their heart cut, fear of death, incontinence of urine. At every thought of you, hypertension, out of terror.
I told you the story before while I was in the university, very brutal in the spirit. One young man that Ied to Christ, later on, very hard guy, I had never saw that young man smile before. Church Gist. Heavy, dark, he was as dark as dark, eyes red, he was permanently on Indian hemp. When I caught him one day, I said, “go on your knees, I want to lead you to Christ”. He got on his knees, got filled with the Holy Ghost later on. Later he told me, he said, “every time he saw me coming with that highness of marijuana, he was mortally afraid as if I was coming to kill him”. Church Gist. There was something that he saw and felt, it’s called the terror of the Lord. Both him and the devil inside him felt it.
– I decree to somebody here, around you and around where you live, that terror shall be felt!
In a particular neighbourhood where we lived sometime ago, it was permanent confrontation of wicked people, robbers, all manner. Then we moved to a house, they said, “the last woman who lived here, it was terrible robbery attacks that made her pack”. Church Gist. That was where we went and we knew after we had moved it. There were places around there where they sacked police, sacked everything. We lived there and one of the persons in that neighbourhood told me long after we had lived there for a long time, he said, “when you arrived here, peace came. Church Gist. Everybody here could go to bed and sleep”. The terror of the Lord.
– I announce to you today, that terror of the Lord shall be felt around your life, your neighborhood and your vicinity, in the name of Jesus!
3. The glory of the Lord. Isaiah 4:5. When some people wanted to stone Moses after Dathan, Korah and Abiram were swallowed up and died, the glory of the Lord arose. Church Gist. As the people picked up the stone, the glory of the Lord arose, and God told Moses, “give me space, let me finish them”. Moses began to beg and before the begging could go far, 22,000 have died. Church Gist. By virtue of the risen glory. Not everybody is confrontable, not everybody is fightable.
– today, I announce to you, everyone trying to fight you will receive the judgmental encounter of the glory of the Lord.
Numbers 16:42,45-46.
– anybody looking for you and looking for us in this season, they shall experience instant death!
– anybody looking for the Church in Nigeria in this season and looking for this Church in particular, they will never live to tell the story!
4. The angel of the Lord is a covering Psalms 34:7, Acts 27:23.
I have experienced the ministry of the angel of the Lord many times, in revelation and dreams- Massive angels. I told you that one day I was in a dream and some people came to fight themselves and not me. I was about to rush at them and somebody came and said, ‘Give space and He moved His hands once or twice and all of them were on the floor’. Church Gist. And I said, ‘Who are you? And He said, ‘I’m the angel sent to fight your battles’! From that day, I am aware that I am not alone!
I will give my angels charge over you… Psalms 91:11. There is no one of us that has a special allocation of angels that others don’t have Psalm 91:11. Jesus said, ‘Beware of how you treat these little children for their angels behold the face of my Father’. Church Gist. So everyone who has come to know the Lord has at least an allocation of an angel called, ‘The guardian angel’.
5. The rebuke of the Lord Psalms 105:14-16, Isaiah 65:8
For those who are connected to God, there is a ‘Spiritual Speaking’ hanging over their lives. ‘The Speaking’ of ‘Touch Not’! You may not hear it but the demons and the witches hear it- ‘Touch not my anointed, do my Prophet, no harm’! It’s a perpetual injunction. Church Gist. How many of you know that this world would have been overrun if not that God gave an open decree to the sea Job 38:12. The oceans are responding to the decree not to overrun the earth, in the same manner, there is a decree hanging on your head that witches, wizards, occultic powers of darkness and ritualists must obey.
You remember the story of a little girl in Destiny Christian Academy on a holiday who encountered the spirit of death as six demons were escorting her to the grave. She said that Dr. Mrs. Enenche came first and then she said that later she saw me and I said to those demons, ‘Did you not read the notice? Eh! And they said, ‘What notice? Church Gist. It was hanging on her neck with the inscription, ‘Origin: Dunamis! Warning: Do not trespass! That to me looks like, ‘Touch not my anointed’! That to me looks like, ‘This is an untouchable entity’! Am I speaking to somebody here? There is a notice over your life and in the realm of the Spirit.
-And I decree today, that notice shall be read by every demon to understand that you are an untouchable entity! Church Gist. This is for you, your family and your children!
6. The Blood of the Lamb Exodus 12:12, Zechariah 9:11-12
Literally, the Blood is covering you from disaster.
Declaration: Lift your hands and say, ‘The Blood of Jesus rests upon my life, family and destiny! I draw the line of the Blood by faith! I plead the Blood in the Name of Jesus!
I heard a story from Kenneth Copeland in America. In a particular neighborhood, two mad rabid foxes were let loose, attacking, killing and doing all manner of things. You know that a fox is a wild dog, just picture a mad lion or a mad tiger. As it was rampaging everywhere and one Christian man stood in front of his house, he said, ‘I draw the Blood line on the perimeter of this property’. And said, ‘Satan and you rabid fox, the Blood of Jesus is against you’! Church Gist. The next day, they saw the two foxes dead on the same spot at the perimeter of the house- When they wanted to attempt to enter and they jammed the Blood!
-E dey work! It is real! In the Name of Jesus, I draw the Blood line around your life, family, destiny, position and the perimeters of your possession. Church Gist. Satan! The Blood of Jesus is against you!
7. The anointing of the Spirit Isaiah 10:27, Psalms 105:12-15.
Anything you do to increase the unction on your life increases the protection of your life. The Seal of Saul’s authority was cast down as if it was water that they poured on his head and as if he had not been anointed with the oil 2 Samuel 2:1-21. It was paining David that somebody with the oil should die like that because he also carried the oil and no Goliath could face him- He was the one that finished everything that came against him. He died in the good old age, he couldn’t die in war. Church Gist. So why is this man (Saul) dying like a chicken? That’s why it’s good that as you generate the anointing by the practices you do- You place a seal of the anointing on your children as you wake up in the day, especially in this time that we are in.
-I announce to you that as this oil comes upon your life, you are not permitted to die like Saul. Church Gist. Dying like Saul means dying in the hands of your enemies and those who hate you! You cannot die like Saul!
8. The hedge or wall of fire Zechariah 2:5
I believe that it was something like this (The hedge) that Job experienced in Job 1:10. Church Gist. There are those who come to attack you and they jam fear and if they refuse to be stopped by the fear, they will jam fire, Halleluyah!
-Between now and this time tomorrow, there are those looking for you, your family, Nigeria and the Church of Jesus that will wake up with physical scars on their bodies. And if they persist, they shall be laid to rest.
9. The Hand of the Lord Exodus 33:21-23
The Bible says that you and I are the apple of His eyes. So you can imagine the size of the eye, the head and the proportionate size of the hand. And if that Hand covers you… He said, ‘Can a woman forsake her sucking child’? Isaiah 49:15-16. Church Gist. ‘Everything about you is continually in front of Me, if I look at my Hand, I am seeing you, I planted you on the palms of my Hand’.
Many years ago, I preached a Message, ‘I am in His Hands’! Who is the devil that can pluck you out of His Hands? Somebody said the other day that he saw me preaching and from the altar, he saw a big Hand from Heaven about the whole size of that altar- That is how you are, under His Hands. Church Gist. You know that the purpose of revelation is to bring about conviction, you are meant to be convinced.
The purpose of Light is to feed your Faith, Light is the food of Faith, you are meant to stand up from here tonight and say, ‘Oh! Is that right? Then there is no need to be afraid, I’m wasting my fear then! If there is only one channel of His covering that I am aware of, that is His Presence, then it is enough for me’! Church Gist. ‘I’m not just dealing with only His presence, I’m dealing with the terror of the Lord, the angel of the Lord and almost everything’!
10. The Eyes of the Lord Psalms 34:15-17.
His Eyes are just watching over you! 🎶 When the weight of this world crashes down on you, God is looking out for you… 🎶 ‘I’m watching you, let me see the person who is about to trespass’. Have you ever seen a little boy that is crawling and the mother is seated but her eyes are just with that child? Women need an award though, they can do many things at the same time (Multitasking)- She’s scraping yams, answering phone calls, monitoring the food on the fire and her eye is still watching the baby that is crawling.
And when that baby is getting close to the fire, she dashes for the baby, pulls him back and continues with the assignment and is still watching. Jehovah said, ‘You are moving but I am watching’! Psalms 23:1-2. Church Gist. There are steps that you wanted to take but I spoiled the vehicle. Journeys that you wanted to embark upon, I tried to stop you but you didn’t hear and I knocked the engine. Now you are trying to bind the devil, it is not the devil, it is Me and you cannot bind Me’! Because His Eyes are on you, as you are moving and want to move into the hands of 419ers, He blocks it. You want to marry, and the son of a demon comes, He blocks it. And like God’s Servant, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi told us in those days. He said, ‘Don’t marry the child of the devil because their father-in-law will visit you’!
Declaration: Father, thank you because Your eyes are on me!
I told you this story many years ago, after I overworked myself so much- I was physically worn out, exhausted and literally sickly. I lay on the bed and my wife was concerned that I wasn’t as aggressive and active as I used to be for the first time. Church Gist. One night, she woke up and saw this big face looking right at the bed and overshadowing me. So she said, ‘Okay! So I am just worried for nothing, let me just relax myself’! God was just saying, ‘Calm down, I am here’!
-The Face of the Lord is about to shine upon you to the shame of every devil and He will phase out every devil that is looking for you! Church Gist. There is no devil under Heaven to be afraid of!
How do you secure the covering of the Lord?
1. Love for God Psalms 91:14-16
I know that you love things, you love houses, clothes, cars, your wife and children, sports, fashion or entertainment. The question is: What is the extent of your love for God? Church Gist. When I was preaching on dedication this year, I made reference to the marks of love for God. How do you know a person who loves God? Please refer to that Message so that you can understand what it entails to love God. If you love God, you will love His Word, His people, Souls and His House.
2. Loved by God
This is when you love God and come to the point where you are loved by Him. God loves everybody generally but there are people that He calls, ‘A man after My heart’ like David. When you are in that realm everybody that wants you wasted shall be wasted Deuteronomy 33:12, Isaiah 43:3-4. Church Gist. To be loved by God is to do things that please Him- When your life is permanently giving God pleasure. When you do this, anybody who is looking for death is permitted to look for you!
3. Trust in God Psalms 91:1-5
Trust in the Lord is nothing but an unconditional confidence in God Job 13:15. Church Gist. When you come to the point where you just trust Him and not necessarily look for something from Him, He will deliver you from the burning fiery furnace.
4. The fear of God Psalms 34:7
The fear of God is to hate evil and to sustain a conscience that is tender – Where you are not a hardened sinner. Church Gist. The fear of God is where you don’t take His mercies and forgiveness for granted! It secures a covering from God.
5. Faith in God Ephesians 6:16
When I say Faith in God, I mean the absence of the fear of evil because in Job 3:25, Job said that the things that he feared came upon him. Church Gist. That point where, the only person that you are fearing is God not the devil, witches, wizards, necromancers or the stargazers.
6. The Light of the Word Psalm 91:4.
His truth and revelation shield you. All the things you’re hearing tonight, put them in your Spirit. Don’t let what is happening in the Society drive you, don’t let what happens to anybody drive you. Let the Light of the Word and the Light from revelations fuel your expectation.
7. The rejection of fear Job 3:25-26.
8. The Presence of the Lord.
This is whatever you do to dwell in His presence and to secure that Presence around you- In the fellowship of the brethren, in generating the presence at the place of prayer, fasting and all of that. Psalm 91:1-2. Psalm 23:4.
Go through this Message, the points are very many but they are all very workable and applicable and where we have challenges, we ask God for mercy to be able to comply. Heaven and Earth may fail but the Word can never fail. The Word of God has worked in the lives of people, we’ve shared testimonies and it will work in your life.
-Tonight is your night. The devil that will kill you before your time does not exist.
-That witch that will celebrate your funeral does not live. If they don’t leave you alone, they will be laid to rest!
-Stand on your feet with a shout of praise!
