🎶🎶Alpha, Omega, you are worthy of my praises today 🎶🎶
Father Almighty we bless your holy name because you are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending. Church Gist. Thank you for a new year in the Redeemed Christian Church of God; Thank you so much for the end of the year particularly your convention, thank you for Perfect Jubilee. Lord accept our thanks in Jesus name.
You told us in your Word that Jubilee means Restoration and a new beginning. Lord we pray that today, you will begin something new in our lives. Church Gist. New health, new success, new progress, new joy, new victory, mighty new testimonies, do so in Jesus’ name. Thank you Almighty God for in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Let somebody shout “halleluyah!”

1 Corinthians 11:23-25. The word, “Testament” there is also called Covenant. This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Church Gist. This month as you know, we are talking about, “THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD.”
A covenant is an agreement signed with blood. We will learn a little more about that tomorrow. Church Gist. A covenant is not a promise, a covenant is not an ordinary contract, a covenant is an agreement signed with blood.
There is the Old covenant and there is the New covenant which we refer to as the Old Testament and the New Testament. In Genesis 15:12-14, the Almighty God entered into a covenant with Abraham. Church Gist. There, he told him that his seed will be a stranger in the land that is not their own. And they will serve that nation, and that nation will afflict them, cause them to suffer for 400 years. But then, God told Abraham that that nation that his seed will go and serve, at the appropriate time God said he will judge them. Church Gist. And then, the seed of Abraham will come out with great substance. That was the covenant; was the very first covenant between God and man.
It was a covenant of deliverance from bondage. A covenant of great substance; coming out with great substance. Church Gist. A covenant of prosperity, a covenant of abundance. This covenant was fulfilled in Exodus 12:1-36. When the time God had in mind had come, He told the children of Israel, “Mark your house with blood of a lamb.” Church Gist. So that when the angel of death is passing by, wherever he sees the blood, he will know that the fellow in this house is a covenant child. And death will pass over the house.
I rejoice with those of you in the Redeemed Christian Church of God because you are covenant children of God. Church Gist. The almighty God entered into a covenant with our father in the Lord, Pa Josiah Akindayomi, told him, “if you will do the following, I will do the following for the church I am starting through you.” Church Gist. There is no human explanation for the spread of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. No human explanation for the favour we have enjoyed; all over the world!
I have told you, some of you, some stories. For example, the establishment of our Church in Israel. Church Gist. The ambassador, our ambassador, said, “it is impossible to register us there.” I told him our own case will be different. Within 6 months of our application, we were registered.
I can tell you other stories. I can tell you… may be I shouldn’t tell you the particular name of that country; an Islamic country. Church Gist. You know, seriously Islamic! You can’t get a place to rent for a Church in that country. But a man was watching the television and just by accident, he just happened to be watching our television. Church Gist. Somehow, he made contact; and he is a very important man in the country. And he said to us, “come and start your Church in my house.”
He has a very large conference room or what do you call it? A place where hee receives visitors; kind of dinner room. Church Gist. He said, “Start using that. When you fill that place up, my backyard is there; you can use it.”
The wife said to him, “what are you doing?” He said, “it is my house.” The wife said, “what are you talking about? You are such an important man in the country.” Church Gist. He said to the wife, “you oppose these people, I will divorce you.” That is not normal! That is what a covenant can do.
- Beginning from today, you will begin to enjoy the benefits of the covenant.
And when the children of Israel were leaving Egypt, they did not leave empty handed. The Bible said they spoiled the Egyptians. Church Gist. There was massive wealth transfer. I have good news for you, “after God has perfected your jubilee, get ready for wealth transfer!”
And then there was a New covenant. In John 10:10, that is the New covenant. The New covenant was sealed in His blood. Church Gist. When He said, “take, eat; this is my body broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” He is saying, “I have a covenant for healing.” The devil has come to steal; I have come to restore. The devil has come to kill; I have come to give you life. Church Gist. The devil has come to destroy; I have come to restore fully. The New covenant is a covenant of life; the opposite of death. It’s a covenant of eternal life; the opposite of destruction. The New Testament is a testament of abundance, of prosperity instead of goods stolen. Church Gist. He said, “whatever it is that the devil has done, I have come to reverse it.”
And He confirmed it at that first Lord’s Supper. “Take this bread; eat, it’s my body broken.” Church Gist. When you break a man’s body it will bleed. “Take this cup, drink it. It is my blood of the New Testament.”
The Holy Communion is not an ordinary meal. I have said it again and again. You take it properly, you will be healed. Church Gist. You take it properly, you will be delivered. You take it properly, very very soon, poverty will become alien to you. You take it properly, not only will you have abundance physically, materially, you will have abundance spiritually. Church Gist. This is because he made another covenant statement much later.
He said, “you will receive power when the Holy Ghost is come upon you. And then you become a witness unto me. Church Gist. A witness is a proof producer; someone who can produce evidence that what he is saying is true.
It’s not going to be long before you will be telling people, “Jesus, He is the healer.” And when they say, “we don’t believe you.” You say, “bring anybody who is sick. Church Gist. I will pray in the name of Jesus and the fellow will be well.” And that is another way of saying in the mighty name of Jesus, you yourself will be whole!
It is to me a thing of great joy and excitement that when I was seeking the face of the Lord for the month of September, a month when we set aside specially a time for those who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb. Church Gist. I was expecting themes like, “The fruitful vine, None shall be barren, etcetera.” And He said, “tell them I’m the Covenant Keeping God.”
I know God is up to something: after the Perfect Jubilee, the next thing He is telling us is, “I will keep my covenant.” Church Gist. I think Somebody should shout, “Halleluyah!”
So, you are the only one who will lose if you don’t surrender your life to Jesus; because in surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, you open the door to all the benefits of the covenant. Church Gist. Covenant of life, Covenant of divine health, covenant of deliverance, covenant of Prosperity, and as we will discover tomorrow, covenant of fruitfulness in everything you do.
So if you are here tonight, and you are still doubting whether you should be saved or not, I think you better make up your mind because it is the blood of Jesus that will cleanse away your sins and make you a member of the family of God.
