THE SAME FIRE 🔥 THAT ERUPTED 26 YEARS AGO IN NIGERIA WILL ERUPT IN AMERICA!
STORY OF HOW PASTOR ENENCHE CURSED A SPOT IN UNIVERSITY OF JOS AND HAD TO LIFT THE CURSE MANY YEARS LATER!

-Blessed be Your Name Lord for this moment! Thank You Master in Jesus Precious Name! Church Gist. I would like to welcome everyone here this morning! I know that officially on the advert and publicity, the program was to end last night but since we cancelled the South American angle, we decided to extend it by this morning! Many people couldn’t get their flight and some others couldn’t extend their hotels to stay and as a result some people had left!
But I am grateful to God that you are here. I cannot remember in 26 years, where I have been out of town on the anniversary day of our Ministry, I can’t remember, maybe there is! But I believe that this is significant to America and for your life! And the same fire that erupted 26 years ago in Nigeria, that has impacted the whole world and is still ongoing, that same fire is here in America. And I believe that today, something unusual shall happen!
I want to give a Charge before we receive from God, our anniversary gift because Dunamis is God’s baby! Church Gist. And so if God is celebrating the anniversary of His baby, you will go with gifts from His Presence.
Acts 11:26.
I want to speak quickly on this anniversary day on the subject: ‘THE LIFE OF IMPACT”. Church Gist. What I’m trusting God for, this morning is to first of all, understand what the life of impact is all about! And also trust God to leave here with an impartation to go forward and make an impact in our generation!
We just read in Scriptures concerning Barnabas and Paul who were with the disciples in Antioch and they impacted those people until something changed. I want to say that life is designed for impact! And it is designed to be useful!
Our objective this morning is to begin to understand what the life of impact is all about. When we say someone’s life is impactful and relevant, what is it all about?
1.The life of impact is being deliberate and intentional with one’s life! Living deliberately and intentionally with a well defined purpose! Because, we know that the purpose of life is the life of purpose! You are not living at random! You are not just drifting along in life! You are not just living your life to chance! You are living deliberately, purposefully and intentionally! Because we have a world today, where there are people whose lives are left to chance, just drifting along while days are passing! Nothing is changing!
2.The life of impact is existing to make a difference, not just existing to make a living! There are those who just exist to make a living! Making income becomes the sole objective of their lives! Let me be able to pay my bills and let me be able to do this and that! Life is far more than that! When all you do with your life is to pay bills and do this and that! Church Gist. And at the end of your life, you can’t point at anything that was done for time and eternity, it was a wasted life! It is existing to make things happen, not just existing to make ends meet.
There are people who exist to make ends meet! And there are people who exist to make things happen in their society, community and in the Kingdom! It is existing to make meaning and not just existing to make money! Church Gist. And if you can use the money to make the meaning, it’s alright! It is existing with a meaningful life! Like I normally say, “Impact is superior to income!” Impact will bring income!
- The life of impact is about sowing one’s life as a seed for the benefit of a generation! John 12:24. Sowing your life as a seed for the benefit and profit of others! So it means, living an impactful life is living beyond self! To live for self is to live as a slave literarily! To live for self is to live for less! To live for self is to live for small!
We had fixed a crusade in the country of Zambia and Kenya, and we were already on our way before we realised that my wife’s birthday was on the day of the crusade! If it was just living for fun and pleasure, you won’t fix anything around that time!
4.The life of impact is about living for a course that outlast and outlives one! The life of impact is about making deposits into the future that still continues long after you have gone! Something that is bigger than just you!
And even if you are not doing that personally, you are connected to something that is larger and bigger than you! You may not be the founder of a Ministry or an organisation but being a part of it is an impactful living! Church Gist. Being one of those that Heaven can rely and count on as those that made it happen for a course that they might not have originated but a course that they are associated and connected with that outlives them, makes you live a life of impact!
5.It is leaving one’s footprint on the sands of time and eternity! You left your foot mark on the sands of time and eternity that cannot be erased! The forces of hell can’t forget! And time can’t forget it because you left your footprint and you have gone but your marks remained! Church Gist. Whether it was a school, University or high school! Yes, you have come and you have gone but your marks still remain!
The University that I went to, God helped me so much with a lot of things. I preached in the campus, hostel, school bus and everywhere! And at that time, there was a bad spot that had criminal activities, they would stab and all that. One day, they were doing business and I went there and stretched my hands in that direction and I cursed the place and said, “Because evil goes on here, may nothing thrive here!” That was as a medical student in the University. Church Gist. I have graduated, stepped into the Ministry and have become a Pastor in Abuja Nigeria!
Then, one day a woman came to the Church and said, “I want to see you”. As she saw me, she said, ” I went to rent a space for business in the University where you went, and they told me that no business was successful there and that someone cursed the place while he was a student in the University.
And they said, “If you want the place to function, go and meet him, he is now pastoring in Abuja city, tell him to reverse it!” She said, even Coca-Cola came there and they couldn’t work! And I said, you are a Christian and you are ready to do the right thing! Church Gist. She was prayed for, to return back there for the place to function! That is, we have come and we have gone but the mark remains!
-I speak to someone prophetically, you shall not live a wasted life! God shall give you the Grace to live a life of impact in your family, city, community and Church where you are!
You live your life to the point where your presence is felt by men and the devil! Your presence is felt and your absence is noticed! And if your presence is not felt and your absence was not noticed, then your presence was never needed! Pastor and Child of God! Refuse to exist with an impactless life! And I speak to a Pastor today and I heard this many years ago, that the easiest way to know about the relevance of your Church is to ask yourself, what will this community and city miss if this Church is no longer here! What would Abuja do if Dunamis was not in the city? Church Gist. Because we stand right there to determine what can and what cannot happen! Scatter demonic agenda by seeing it before they engage in the attack and tackle them! We are the worst nightmare of satan in that territory!
You must make up your mind. I can’t exist with a life that is not impactful, that is not relevant, I can’t have a wasted existence!
You must make up your mind. I can’t exist with a life that is not impactful, that is not relevant, I can’t have a wasted existence. I can’t waste my time and think I am existing. Church Gist. I must live a life where my presence in my generation, in my community is felt and my absence is noticed.
- I decree today, no devil can make your life useless. No devil can make your life irrelevant, no devil can make your life wasted.
- I prophesy help from above, mercy from above released upon you now.
I want you to go with a heart that is determined.
What is a life of impact about?
- Refusing to meet your generation the way you met it, to leave your world the way you met them, refusing to leave the people you come in contact with the way you met them.
If God brought people your way as church members, if God brought people your way as colleagues. Refusal to leave your world and the people of your world the way you met them. That was what Paul the Apostle did to the Church in Antioch. They impacted them for one and a half years until something changed and the disciples were called Christians. Something changed. Acts 4:13. What can people take notice of regarding those who have been with you? What change have you made in the life of your wife? There are people who made a change for the worse in the life of their spouse. The woman was better before she married. She was smiling before she married, she was full of life and energy before she married until one disastrous man entered her life and the smile disappeared, caused the joy to disappear, caused the energy to disappear. Church Gist. It was an impact but it was a negative impact. There are those who turn their husbands into something else. What can people take notice of regarding those who have been with you? When I entered into my wife’s life things that were dormant in her just came up. Gifts came out, the gift of vision came out, the interpretation of tongues came out and all manners just exploded. She was doing well but she began to do ‘weller’. Pardon my English. The people in your workforce around your life, what can people take notice of concerning those who have been with you? What has left you into them?
I know people who by His mercies before we met were too shy to stand before a crowd but then God turned them around. These people are pastoring thousands of people, overseeing hundreds and thousands of people by impact. I like you to make up your mind. Concerning Paul the Apostle they said he was a pestilent fellow. This man is a mover of perdition, another translation said this guy is a plague, an infectious agent. Church Gist. You come around him, you are infected. There is something he carries that is contagious, there are those who will carry contagious mantles, contagious fire, contagious peace, contagious joy, contagious unction, so that when men come around you something just leaves you into them, they can’t even help it. Something just drops into them.
Dunsin, my wife and I were talking about what God did in your life. I wasn’t even aware that he had an album before until God hooked him to a grace, a covering and everything pushed out. He told me one day “Sir, what do you want us to do? We are the musicians and you are the one releasing songs all the time. What do you want us to do? Just leave the songs for us. We are the music ministers, just leave our lane”. I said we will all flow in the fire, we will all flow in the grace. Songs are running out like water from him as well now. We were talking that the typical music minister releases one album in a year and he goes to rest and he said “I can’t function like that. He said look at you are not in the music ministry but see what is happening to you. I can’t remain like that.”. Church Gist. I have heard the songs on the first one and the second and third ones, they are growing in oil because of what covers. What can people take notice of regarding those who came in contact with your life? I speak to you today, something is going to happen to you that will change those who come in contact with your life. An infectious oil is already flowing into your life. If you believe it, shout the loudest Amen.
- The life of impact is about pushing out all of your life’s potential.
It is about holding nothing back.
🎶 Lord I am in your hands, holding nothing back. Transform me oh Lord both in and out, conform me to your plans till I become all you have in mind for me.🎶
Paul the Apostle said I have kept nothing back. Acts 20:20. God is saying to you, you are holding yourself back too much. You can do more than what you are doing. You can give out more potential. More of your wisdom, more! More! You can pray more.
Excess of the right thing, excess of the right thing, excess of the RIGHT THING.
There is a connection between extra and the extraordinary. Church Gist. You just add extra on the ordinary and it becomes extraordinary. So you can do more.
For a period of 3 years in our church – Thank God the choir director and the music people are here this morning – every single Sunday, they had a new song.
While I prepare for the message, I also prepare the song that went with the theme. This one you just heard now is one of them (song just sung by the choir). That is work! That is, to sit down and receive the inspiration for the preaching and receive the inspiration for the singing as well!
The music, the melody, the lyrics and everything, most of them have 3 verses. At times, while the singing is on, the whole church erupts, all manner of things are happening. The song itself became the message and ministry for the day. Church Gist. That is work! As the conventions are appearing, based on the convention themes, the songs will also follow the themes.
I stopped when the songs became too much.
Whatever it is we are to do, there is more that can be done. Good enough is never enough. This is good enough is never, can never be enough. Church Gist. It has to be far better than good. That is, if you don’t want a life that is as ordinary as everybody’s life.
One of the founders of Holiday Inn, they asked him, What is the secret of success? The regular people work for 8 hours and if all you do is 8 hours of output in a day, your life will be regular. But if you want anything more than regular, your work hours must become far beyond that. And he gave averagely, maybe around 12 hours. Averagely.
Hallelujah. Look at your neighbor, say you can do more. Church Gist. You can do far more than what you are doing now and you will get far more results than you are getting right now.
Take your seat in the presence of God.
Lord if I have not yet done what you wanted me to do, it is because I have not yet known what you want me to do. I’m totally available to do as you please. On the altar I lay down my all.
How many of you are ready to do what God wants you to do? That grace is released! That grace is released! That grace is released!
The life of impact is about pushing out.. What has God put in me? Pushing out.
- THE LIFE OF IMPACT IS ABOUT MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR LIFE’S TIME AND OPPORTUNITIES
The determination not to waste the time of your life. Because we know that destiny is time sensitive. Time sensitive! The things you can do at the age of 25,hou may not be able to do at the age of 50. They won’t accept you to play American Basketball at the age of 50, or accept you to American military at the age of 60. You are interested too late. Impact is time sensitive!
Procrastination is not only the thief of time, it is the thief of destiny. Church Gist. There are many things that we should have been doing for God that we have not done. Because the things you need to take, the areas you need to sharpen your skill you have delayed. Delay brings decay.
When you see anything that is decaying, someone is delaying. Delaying to do the right thing. He said, Redeem the time. Redeem the time, for the days are evil.
Impact is making the most of the time of your life. Church Gist. Moving when it is time to move and taking the step when it is time to take the steps.
It is destiny sensitive.
When opportunities are not maximized, regret must be maximized.
Making the most of your life’s time, making the most of your life’s opportunities. And you know that the best time to strike the iron is when it is hot. Make hay when sun shines.
Yesterday was the best time that most of us should have done what we were thinking to do. Today is getting late. Tomorrow is unthinkable. You don’t push into tomorrow what should have been done yesterday, otherwise when tomorrow comes, it arrives empty.
That is the difference.
People of impact place a very high premium on time. Church Gist. Very high premium on time. Ordinary people can while away time, gisting away and having fun and all that kind of things for hours and the men of impact have very high value for time.
They achieve in one day what most people will not achieve in a week.
They achieve in one week what most people will not achieve in a month. They achieve in a month what many won’t accomplish in a year. They achieve in a year, what some will not achieve in their lifetime.
And what they will not achieve in their lifetime, if you give some people a thousand lifetimes, they won’t be able to achieve it because of premium on time.
Somebody was talking with John Wesley and he looked at his time and told him, “You have taken 10 minutes of my time forever.”
The person responded, “John, don’t be in a hurry.”
To which John responded, “I am not in a hurry. I don’t even have the time to be in a hurry.”
That is, I am faster than hurry. No wonder the things he did within his lifetime.
High premium on time! Weight is measured in pounds, life is measured in time. That’s why it’s called life time.
That’s why somebody is 20 years, another is 30 years. Church Gist. So the wastage of time, is the wastage of life. Time is the only thing that hurries you into the future without your permission. Whether you are prepared for it or not, it will soon be 1 pm.
You cannot save the time, you cannot store it. You can save electricity in batteries. You can’t save time. You can’t store it. You’re either investing it or wasting it. Life of impact!
As they say today is our 26th anniversary, I’ve put myself under intense pressure. Are there things that justifies this 26 years? Yes, I’m telling you the raw truth from my heart.
Maybe you think you have seen something but I have seen some things from the realm of the spirit where we should be.
My wife is aware that my birthdays are the most sober days. While other people celebrate, apart from those 40, 50, it was a day of fasting and reflection for me. Do I justify another year? Can I account for the last 12 months? Church Gist. Most times I won’t eat from morning till night of that birthday and then be writing down things. I am not saying you shouldn’t celebrate; it is important to thank the Lord for the gift of life because let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. But on the flip side of it, this life that I have had, what did I do with it?
- Life of impact is about giving a full account of your existence in the Earth: Paul the Apostle said, “I am ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand.” (2 Timothy 4:6). When I saw it at first, I was a medical student and I told myself I am doing Anatomy, Biochemistry, physiology, Public health and all of these things, I cannot say I finished the course if I failed one of them. Church Gist. Paul saw life as a course that has course content and he excelled in all the course units so he said, ‘I’ve graduated. I am ready to graduate.’
Someday I told some people and said, ‘You woke up this morning to eat food in order to use that food to achieve what? You dressed up to go out to fulfil what? You came back at home in the night to sleep to rest from what?’ You don’t fuel your car for fancy; you are going somewhere with it. Food is fuel. You know in America there is a lot of food; you don’t even struggle for food at all. Church Gist. In fact those of you that are straight like this (demonstrates slim people), I don’t know how you did it because the easiest thing to do is to explode in America. You just explode laterally and explode on every side. You are gaining weight for what? We shall be laughing like this in a short time to come.
But I want these things to challenge you, to wake you up and say, ‘look, my life must be meaningful.’ Church Gist. A full account of your existence on the Earth, that is, justifying the reason for your creation. I must justify that God didn’t waste his time creating me.
- The life of impact is about living on the Earth with eternity in mind: Living on the Earth with the mind that one day everything will end and I will be giving account to the one who created me, the one who cannot be bribed, influenced, or convinced otherwise.
Someone told me something sometime ago and he was about to take a decision and I told him, this decision I am not sure of it. Your wife made a little mistake may be, and you say she must go. Where is forgiveness, compassion? And it is not an extreme thing just some little disrespect; something that is easy. Church Gist. And I said alright; ‘is that your decision? Any decision you are taking, make sure you can defend it in front of God.’ that is, ‘God, my wife insulted me so I divorced her.’ And God says Okay I understand. (In man’s voice) ‘I told her to come, she refused. But she came later and I couldn’t stand it and so it’s over.’ Whatever you do, make sure that when you meet God, you can convince Him.
Those of you who testified, the reason they hurry up some of us is because we started telling stories and things that are not related at all. One thing you must understand is that life is a stage and you don’t have the stage forever and every time you got the stage, make sense on time. Church Gist. Any stage at all, make sense on time because I noticed that the one who can’t make sense in 5 minutes cannot make sense in 5 hours.
What is your way to the life of impact?
- Understand the purpose: You are on Earth for a purpose and not just for the fun of it.
- The decision for impact: Since my life is on purpose, I must decide to live for that purpose.
- Timely action: I understand that I am here for a purpose and this purpose must be fulfilled so I am decided and determined. I told God many years ago in the University and said, “Anything you want me to be just tell me the price; I want to be everything you want me to be.” Church Gist. If it will take a little child, even the child I gave birth to, to instruct me so I can become who you want me to be, I am ready. If it takes me not having cloth on my body but just to know what you want me to do with my life, I am ready for it. It is a decision; a decision to give it everything it takes to be everywhere God wants me to be.
When we stepped out and began to do the things we did, there was nothing; there was no hope of anything but timely action. Church Gist. If you cannot take risks, you cannot take anything. Risk takers are world changers.
