IT TAKES THE POWER OF GOD TO UNVEIL YOUR CAPACITY AND CAPABILITIES
JESUS DID NOT HEAL ONE PERSON FOR 30 YEARS UNTIL THE POWER OF GOD CAME UPON HIM
GOD IS ABOUT TO BRING SOMETHING OUT OF YOUR LIFE THAT WILL SURPRISE YOU AND THOSE WHO KNOW YOU
THE POWER OF GOD IS BEING RELEASED TO BRING THE ARMY WITHIN YOU OUT OF CAPTIVITY.
GOD SOMETIMES HIDES YOUR POTENTIALS TILL THE APPOINTED TIME, BECAUSE IF PEOPLE REALLY KNEW WHO YOU WERE AND WHERE YOU’RE GOING, THEY’LL ATTEMPT TO ‘FINISH’ YOU BEFORE YOUR TIME
IF GOD WERE TO SHOW YOU THE POSSIBILITIES WITHIN YOU, NOT ONLY WOULD THE WORLD BE AMAZED, BUT YOU WOULD ALSO BE AFRAID OF YOURSELF!
THE SANGOMAS (MAGICIANS) OF EGYPT BEGAN TO LOSE THEIR POWERS WHEN THE ROD (SNAKE) OF MOSES SWALLOWED THEIR RODS
GOD RELEASES HIS POWER FOR THE PUNISHMENT OF THE ADVERSARIES OF HIS PEOPLE

I want to say a few words tonight. It has been a very extensive and impactful week from Tuesday till now. Church Gist. I’m looking at “THE PURPOSE OF GOD’S POWER (2)”. Why will God make His power available?
There are many reasons why God makes His power available. Exodus 3:7-8. Yesterday, we saw how the power of God is used to rescue the people from the pains and hurts. Church Gist. By the way, before I go forward, I can hear the sound of the abundance of rain, in the physical, in the spiritual and watch out for it.
Three things I’ll say tonight. Why does God make His power available? For tonight;
- For the enforcement of His prophecy, promises and purpose for His people. Why does He make His power available? So that what He said concerning His people, what He promised and purposed for His people may be brought to pass by force. Church Gist. Because we have a devil that is always resisting the purpose of God. Resisting promises and resisting prophecies.
God told the Children of Israel that they’ll be in the land of Egypt for 400 years and the 400 years had come and gone, it was almost 430 years, God had to send a man with power, his name was Moses so that that prophecy can come to pass, so that the people can be brought from the land of captivity and taken to their land of destiny. Church Gist. Maybe you’re here tonight, there’s a prophecy on your life, there’s a promise of God on your life, there’s a purpose of God for your life that the devil is fighting, resisting and contending, I am here by the apostolic and prophetic mantle of God and i declare today, God’s prophecy over your life shall come to pass. God’s promise for your life shall come to pass! If you’re saying Amen, shout the loudest Amen.
- lift up your right hand and begin to tell the Lord, “let it come to pass”.
- God releases His power for the unveiling of the potentials of His people. The power of God makes potentials unveil. Hallelujah! Somebody say, ‘potential’. Church Gist. The meaning of that is, what you’re capable of realizing, the capabilities and the abilities He has put in you, it takes His power to bring it out.
When you look at the ministry of Jesus, for example, Acts 10:38, for 30 years, Jesus carried the healing ministry that could not be made manifest. Church Gist. He didn’t heal one person for 30 years until the Heaven was open over the waters of Jordan and the power, the Holy Ghost descended on Him bodily and He returned according to Luke 4:14 in the power of the Holy Ghost and His fame spread abroad. Church Gist. That is, He carried the Healing potential that could not be made manifest until the power of God came upon Him.
- is somebody here? say a loud Amen!
Also, if you look at Moses, Moses carried a rod, that rod was in his hands for 40 years. That rod produced no result. Church Gist. He was only using the rod to tend cow until he came before God and the power of God came upon that rod and that rod became an instrument of deliverance and judgment. Exodus 4:2-3. He was carrying a dangerous instrument in his hand that was the key to the deliverance of a whole nation, that was going to be a judgment to sink a whole nation, set Israel free and sink Egypt if they don’t want Israel to go free and he didn’t know what was in his hand. Church Gist. That rod parted the Red Sea, that rod had the capacity to bring water out of the rock and yet Moses was not aware until the power of God came upon that rod.
- I am anointed here to speak to somebody, God is about to bring something out of your life! He’s about to bring a potential out of your life! He’s about to bring a grace out of your life! He’s about to bring possibility out of your life and it’ll shock you and shock those who know you! You’ll almost be afraid of yourself!
When Moses saw the rod, he was afraid of the same rod that had been in his hand. Church Gist. You’ll be a surprise to yourself and almost become afraid of yourself when God begins to do strange things out of your life and you’ll be wondering, “am I the same person?”
- somebody shout the loudest Amen!
We are going to come to the days when some people will see some people and they’ll start running, they’ll be wondering, “is this person a person?” By the strangeness of manifestation and operations. Somebody get ready, something is about to happen.
There’s a little girl in our Church in those days. She’s a big girl now, she’s an architect. But when she was like 5 years old, everytime she saw me coming, she’ll be running and clinging to her mother and just be frightened. So, when she grew up, I said, “why did you use to run from me when you were a baby?” She said “because anybody who came close to you fell down and I don’t know why they were falling down. Church Gist. So I didn’t want to come near you” Hallelujah. And truly, in those days it was so terrible, when you say receive, the whole place was almost on the ground and after every service, we would lose like maybe 20 or 30 plastic chairs. So we said okay, let this thing reduce a bit, so that we don’t lose too many chairs all the time. Let the people receive without breaking the chairs. Hallelujah. But I am talking of more drastic, frightening things. Hallelujah! More drastic, more frightening thing.
What Moses was carrying in his hand, he ran from it. What he held for 40 years, he ran away from it. Church Gist. If God will show you what is in you, the capabilities and possibilities you carry, not only will the World be amazed and afraid of you, yourself will be amazed at yourself.
- and I believe that something unusual is going to come out from somebody tonight!
- Somebody that will carry a grace that the whole nation will be aware of, not just pastoral or ministerial, financial, in the business realm, in the political realm, a dimension of help from God.
Now, when you go further, when I talk about potential, Isreal were slaves until the power of God came to rescue them. Exodus 6:26. People who existed as slaves had the potentials of being armies. Army potential kind of people became slaves. The soldier in them, the military might in them was buried in slavery and captivity. Church Gist. That military might and capacity in them could not come out until they had a power encounter. Pharoah carried a military force of a whole nation and turned them into slaves and they remained in that slavery until the power of God arrived to bring the army out of them.
I don’t know what the forces of your father’s house have done to your life, I don’t know what the ancestral and generational curses have done to your destiny, but there is an army in you, there is a soldier in you, there is a might in you, there is a force in you that is going to come out by the anointing of the Holy Ghost, by the power of the Holy Ghost!
This Army of people, no nation could stand before them, except when they were in iniquity, no nation could stand before them. When you come to the time of David, you will see lion-like men, you will see people that will fight with people with bare hands, people that will tear lions in pieces, that was the kind of people whose forefathers were slaves, but when the power came, their potentials came out.
- I am anointed to announce to somebody that the power of God is coming upon your life and great potential is coming out, great ability is coming out, great might is coming out. Church Gist. You believe it, shout the loudest Amen.
- Look at your neighbor, say, “There is a military might in you, there is a force in you, but the power of God will bring it out. The enemy may have kept it somewhere, but the power of God will bring it out” You believe it, say a loud Amen.
For most of my life, God kept me under the radar, as a child in Primary School, in Secondary School, under the radar. The things that He wired into me, many of them didn’t manifest, it was just under the radar, under radar until the appointed time. Somebody told my daughter and her husband, he said “It looks like your father has 7 fold ministry. Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, Psalmist” He lined them up. Church Gist. All of them, under the radar, under detention and at times, God behaves like that, because if people knew who Moses would become, they would have killed him on time. If Pharoah’s compound knew what Moses would become, that this is that Moses that would sink the might of Pharoah, that would bring Israel out of their captivity, they would have killed Moses before time. Church Gist. If the brothers of Joseph knew for sure that Joseph will become what he dreamt, they would have…in fact, they tried to kill him. So the Lord told me, “There are times I hide you in a season, because if people really know where you are going, they would have finished you before time. But by the time you already escaped, they would be lamenting why they couldn’t stop you”.
- That is how the case is with some people here tonight. God has put you under cover for a while and also, the devil has tried to resist your potential and your destiny, but I am here anointed by the power of God to let you know that cover is coming off and your potential is being released! Church Gist. The greatness of God in your life is being released and the World will be taken by surprise as to what God would do in your life. You believe that, shout the loudest Amen!
This is one purpose why the power of God is released, to bring the Army out of captivity, to bring the military force out of subjugation.
Finally tonight, God releases his power first for the enforcement of his prophecy, promise and purpose. Second for the unveiling of the potentials of his people and third, for the punishment of the adversaries of his people.
- God releases his power for the punishment of the adversaries of his people: that was what he did, that power that came through Moses, let me tell you where the power started manifesting. When God said, what is that in your hand, Moses said it is a rod. He said, okay, throw it down. The rod became a snake. Moses ran. The greatest mistake of the Sangomas of Egypt, the native doctors – in Nigeria in some places they call them Babalawo, Fatherlawo, Babyalawo. The greatest mistake was that they threw down their rod as well which became a snake too but the snake of Moses swallowed up the snake of these people and he carried it and it became a rod in his hand. The Sangomas could not say, vomit our snake, vomit our rods, the rod has gone forever! He de’rod’ed them, he deprived them of their power. That was when their power began to be lost. They suffered major damage and major calamity.
- Tonight I prophesy, by the release of the power of God, it will swallow up the power of the adversary, the power of darkness, the power of witch doctors, wizards, who are after your life!
Then they continued until the first born of Pharaoh and the first born of every family died. Pharaoh was not satisfied, he pursued them into the middle of the Red Sea and Egypt was buried. Tonight is a judgement night, a punishment night for every agent of the devil, for territorial powers and principalities, for powers of the occult, powers from the waters, every force after your life, family, after the citizens of this territory and this nation, that will not let you rest, they shall be laid to rest!
When God releases the judgement on the adversary, he releases the mercy on his people. Get ready tonight, something shall happen!
The secret of experiencing this power, in Psalm 110:3, you want the power of God in your life, there must be a willingness to subscribe to the purpose of God for your life. The willingness to surrender your life to God – John 1:12. If you’re not a child of God, you have not been washed by the blood of Jesus, you have not asked for your sins to be forgiven, you have not asked Jesus to be Lord over your life, it is not possible to see the power of God at work and sustained in your life. To know that Jesus died and went to the Cross for you, he was buried, he resurrected on the third day, seated on the right hand of God the Father because you sinned and he knew no sin and he paid the price and the punishment for your sin and all he is asking is accept me, surrender your life to me, let me guide you and lead you, let me direct you, let me be number one in your life, don’t put other things in front of me, let me be your Lord and then your life on Earth can be powered by his grace and then you can escape the flames of hell and have your place in eternity with God in Heaven – that is all it requires. Then you step into the power of God, into the life of God on Earth and eternity with God becomes your portion. Willingness and then living of course, in holiness, in the beauties of holiness. You are bound by smoking – you stop it.
You are bound by alcoholism – you stop it.
You are bound by immoral life style you stop it
If you can’t stop it by yourself you ask him for mercy and he will do it for you!
