THE PURPOSE OF HIS POWER – PART 2. We are still in the Month of His Manifestation. You know? The Week of Spiritual Empowerment is starting on Tuesday. Are you aware of that? Glory to God. Acts 1:8. ‘The reason I will empower you is to go and witness the Gospel to every nook and cranny of the Earth’. Church Gist. So, empowerment is for a purpose. Power is to witness the Gospel. Matthew 9:36. Soul winning is a proof that you are alive. Compassion for the lost should be your driving force. Compassion is compound passion, where you are moved to make sure somebody does not go to hell. Soul winning is very important because no one can be saved without you and I preaching the Gospel to them.
Romans 10:14. Somebody may ask: Thank God he said, ‘…Without a preacher’ (in Romans 10:14). ‘I’m not a preacher. You know’? Some of us are very funny, when we read (the) Bible we turn it upside down. You say: “Well! He said, ‘without a preacher’ and I’m not a preacher. I’m talking about David Ibiyeomie and the rest of them”. Please, every child of God is a preacher (of the Gospel). How do I know? God defined it in Mark 16:15. So everyone preaching the Gospel is who? A preacher. Church Gist. Simple! A preacher is not somebody who is on the pulpit. You can be on a pulpit and not be a preacher. Mark 16:15. Is it pastors? Every child of God is what? A preacher; as long as you are preaching. If you are teaching, who are you? What do you call somebody teaching? Teacher. True? What do you call somebody singing? Singer. What do you call somebody preaching? Preacher. Simple! So preacher is you not even that preacher is somebody who is on the pulpit. Are you getting what I’m saying now? I’m saying that because some people are very funny. Don’t you see the Bible? He said “The preacher. Am I a preacher?” He said every one of us must preach the Gospel.
Say: I must preach the Gospel.
Now hear this and hear me well, no Church of Jesus Christ will ever grow without a people on the go. Mark 16:15. Luke 14:23. He said: Move and bring them to the Church to be filled. Church Gist. Say I hear. In John 1:40-46 something happened, a man called Philip was out; Andrew was out. And he (Andrew) went and brought his brother, Peter and Philip went and brought his own Nathaniel. They came to meet Jesus. Everybody must go to bring somebody.
Say: I will go to bring mine.
When they met with Jesus, they went and brought somebody to Jesus. If we stop going after the lost; the Church will stop growing. John 4:35-36. Hear this, Church marketing is key to sustainable Church growth. Church Gist. Where good marketing stops that’s where the sales of any product will stop also. I’ll show you from (the) Bible that the Gospel is to be marketed. You market the Gospel; you know? Since men tell you their product, how good it is. Is that true? You are to tell the World how good the Gospel is. Shout Hallelujah!
Social media person, if you pick only ‘marketing’. I never said ‘to market’ because I’m quickened by the Holy Ghost. If you pick what I did not say I will curse you and your family you will never see the end of this year. Please I said: We market the Gospel of Jesus. Because I’m just quickened! They are very funny, they will just pick: He said: ‘Market Bible’. I never said so, if you misquote me as I’m talking now, except God did not call me, if you see the end of this year, I’m not sent. Don’t misquote me because I will curse you and curse your generation. I’m not that kind of Pastor that will leave you, I will arrest you. Even if you hide under disguise I will find you out. Today? Technology? If you don’t know that… You don’t know? No matter how you change your name, somebody can know where you are living. The World has passed that level, they will tell you exactly where you live. Somebody wrote and hide so they told me exactly where the house where the thing was generated from. Technology has passed that level. Don’t think that you can disguise oo, technology can pick the exact room where you did it. So please take note, we have passed that level of technology. Somebody will tell you exactly the number, the house, the room where they stayed to do that thing. Don’t say, I do it and I move my location. No! They will tell you. Ask security men, how did they know when you do something. How did they catch yahoo boys? How did I know? (Laughing). I’m not going to go into that, that’s not what I came here for. I came here to preach the Gospel.
Now, where good marketing stops, I said that’s where the sales of the product will also stop. Luke 14:17-23. (Laughing). You know? It happens in Church. You see some people when they marry they don’t come to Church again. Church Gist. Every day you come to Church and you see the Church empty, it should worry you. Are you getting what I’m saying now? No seat is permitted to be empty. Luke 14:23. That means, don’t joke! Everything! If it’s transport, pay. If it’s bus, pay. Whichever way! ‘Bring them that My House may be filled’.
-And His House will be filled in the name of Jesus.
Let me say this to all of us: The quality of a product notwithstanding, it is effective marketing that determines the level of sales. Is that true? 1 Corinthians 9:20-22. So anywhere he (Paul) goes, he adapts. Are you getting what I’m saying now? He said: By all means, save them. Are you getting me? If you go somewhere they are talking (about) football, talk football: Say: Boy! You know? Arsenal is now the top of the League are you aware? But they still have one outstanding match between Liverpool and Man City and it’s going to be a tough match today. Church Gist. You are heading, not for football, you are heading for the Gospel. Do you know? I wonder if Liverpool will try, if they play a draw that means Arsenal will be at the top. Or who will be? They are talking, you say: You know? By strength shall no man prevail. Do you know it’s not how skillful you are? You can be very skillful and nothing works except God is with you. You are entering the Gospel! He says: O boy! It’s true oo. You say if skill is the thing then how come all the most powerful men are not the ones? You know? Jesus loves you. He said: To the weak, I became weak.
He talks politics, you say: Well! Wonderful politics. Are you in PDP or APC? You people have ruled nah? It’s APC. He said: I’m in APC, you say: Okay! You people are the ones ruling, okay! You are just talking, you are talking politics; you are not a politician. You say APC you are the ones in power now, you people are enjoying nah. You must be very… They say: Ah! For where? Nobi we dey chop money. Then you have form (to be a politician) (Laughing). Jesus is Lord! To the politician, you are a politician. To the sportsman, you are a sportsman. To the businessman, you are a businessman. Whichever way, by all means, bring them. That’s what God is after. Say I hear! That’s marketing! That’s marketing the Gospel. Say I hear. To the student, you are what? A student! ‘You know? When I was in school, we used to go to parties but now I’m sure you are not going to party again’. Church Gist. He says: ‘Oh Sir! I go to party once in a while’. You say: ‘But do you know? Party will make your GPA (Grade Point Average) to come down? You need to be focused’. He says: ‘Sir, it’s true oo. The last time I went for party when I came back, I had forty over hundred’. You now say: ‘You know what? Party will affect you. Get focus! But you can’t be focused except God is with you’. You have entered! So everybody be that way, that’s what the Gospel is saying. 1 Corinthians 9:22. Whichever way, enter the conversation from there. Say I hear. By all means, bring them to Christ. Shout Hallelujah! In the same way, where the marketing of the Gospel stops, that’s where Church growth will stop. Every high-selling product is a result of high-level marketing strategies and drives. So, aggressive and serious marketing is key to great sales and profit in business. If you see any business excelling, the marketing is very high. We must remain on the go; marketing the Gospel of the Kingdom to the World for the Church to keep growing anywhere.
-And it will keep growing.
You can market any product with delight, with love, with passion for that product… You must value what God values. Now, I will show you examples of people who marketed the Gospel.
1. Jesus
Who first marketed the Gospel? Jesus. If you read the Book of John 4. He met a woman by the Well. And He looked at the Woman and saw that this Woman was a candidate for the Kingdom of God. He said: If you drink of this Water, you will thirst again. The Woman said: ‘What’? But He first of all asked her: ‘Can you give me water to drink’? She said how do I give you water, me a Samaritan to give you water, a Jew? He said: But if you drink of this one, you will thirst but if you drink of the Water that I will give to you… John 4:14. Church Gist. The Woman was rapt but He said: You had five husbands, you are married to one, two, three. She said: ‘What’? How can this Man know that I married five people? Haa! Who is He? This must be the Messiah! By the time He finished marketing the Gospel, she ran, dropped her bucket, ran to the village and said: ‘I’ve seen the Messiah, come!! Come and see Him’! Jesus marketed the Gospel. That even when they came, He was talking to her, they were wondering what He was talking to her about and nobody was there. Read John 4:7-10; 25-26, 29-30, 39-42. The marketing brought more.
-May you go and market the Gospel of Jesus.
People talk women. Some people talk men and women, morning to night. Some people, nothing! Morning to night, man and woman. ‘O boy! See that babe, see that girl’. Man and woman! Some people talk politics, morning to night. Some people talk money!!! Now! Talk Gospel!!! If you must gossip, gossip the Gospel. Everything in town, you know. Somebody wey die, you know. Somebody wey wake up, you know. Somebody wey go, you know. Somebody wey steal, you know. Now! Talk small na? The Gospel. The whole of your conversation, no Gospel.
Tell your neighbour: Market the Gospel. If you must gossip, gossip the Gospel.
Everything in Church, you know. You are the Senior Pastor. (Laughing). Fly pass! You say: ‘That fly wey pass, see as e dey fly. E dey fly! That woman na witch, na witch, no tell anybody oo’. Church Gist. How you take know? I know na? How you take know? You be prophet? But you’ve not won one soul. People who gossip too much don’t win souls.
2. Andrew and Philip.
John 1:40-46. They marketed the Gospel. When Andrew met Jesus, he said: ‘Hey! My brother Peter, come! Follow me! Church Gist. When Philip met Jesus, he went to call who? Nathaniel. You, who have you called?
Tell your neighbour: Who have you called? Only you (come) to Church. (It is) only you in Church. Who have you called? Though some of you have called people, God bless all of you!
But each one marketed what? The Gospel to somebody close to them. Church Gist. No one is ever ashamed of anything of value to him or her. If something is of value, you cannot be ashamed of it. Is that true?
3. David.
Psalm 119:46. I will tell ‘who is who’ that God is God. Today, the rich don’t tell their friends: Jesus is Lord. They say: ‘No! You know? I can’t tell them. They will be offended if I tell them about Jesus’! Taah! They will not be offended if you tell them about every… You will talk everything with them oo but when it comes to Jesus, they say: ‘No! You know? I don’t want my friend to be offended’. Psalm 119:46. You are doing business with rich people. Not one person of your friends is born again, all your friends are unbelievers. Church Gist. Not one is born again, something is wrong. Look! On your last day, it will show whether you have anybody who is in Christ or not. Are you hearing me? Sir, while you are alive it will show. Everybody who is your friend, not one person is born again, every one of them is ‘ogbologbos’. You can do business with unbelievers but you must not be a friend to unbelievers. Anybody called your friend should have your nature. There’s nothing wrong (with) doing business but there’s something wrong with being a friend (with unbelievers). Psalm 1. Business is different, business is buying and whatever you offer but don’t say this person (an unbeliever) is my friend. A friend should have your nature. Say I hear.
4. Paul.
Romans 1:16. Each of them! You! How many of you are marketing the Gospel now? How many of you? Say the truth.
Are part of the vision, (the) new vision: ‘Operation One Week, One Soul’. You see? The rest you are not marketing anything. You just come, God should just bless you. God bless you! Church Gist. Every time, God should just bless you. How many of you are marketing the Gospel? See the hands, see the rest. If Jesus should come now, where you go go? Let me say this: When a market woman stops going to market, she’s on her way out of business. John 4:34-36. We must be on duty always as to be rewarded.
Say: I will be on duty.
Luke 24:45-47. 1 Corinthians 15:58. So we are going to win souls because the reward is sure. Continuity is the law of profitable salesmanship. If I’m a salesman, I have to continuously advertise my product. Luke 22:28-30. Acts 26:22. It is not after this time you stop, it has to be a continuous thing. Say I hear. Are you hearing me now? Now listen! I said something in the First Service, the Church has left our primary assignment. Church Gist. Thank God it’s a prosperous Church but please, prosperity without this (soul winning) you will miss it. When everything about your brain is only money, you are off track. People are no longer interested in seeking first the Kingdom of God. What people are after: ‘Lord! I need car. Lord! I need house. Lord! I need good life’ – Not bad. Mark 8:36. I said something, prosperity? I took time to meditate. Prosperity is very deadly and very good. Did you hear me?
Every time you are prosperous, put yourself under check. You know why? (Laughing). Prosperity is like carrying a baby lion. When he’s a cub, you can play with him; when he becomes a lion, you can’t play with him. That’s what prosperity is. When you are prosperous you must put yourself under check. Check the last time you ever misbehaved, it was when you had money – both male and female. When a woman is prosperous, she becomes so arrogant. You talk to her she says: ‘For what’? Have you seen a poor woman who insults her husband? Check in any family. All the divorce is money. Before the woman gets (money), she says: ‘For what’? I took time to study. Church Gist. There was no… I won’t teach that today, it’s not the teaching. Do you know where divorce started? After (the) Second World War, I did a study on it. Before (the) Second World War, divorce rate was very low globally. Before Second World War, women don’t use to work, it was men that used to go to work, so the women depended on the men. Then, when Second World War came in the Western World; in the Western World men were not available so they had to employ women to work. So, when women began to work, all of a sudden they began to earn a living. So when they earn a living the woman has money, the man has money. So she says: ‘Eeeeh’! If you watch in the Arab World, they hardly divorce not because they know God but because the women are not financially empowered. I don’t mean it’s correct oo. It’s not correct, don’t misquote me. But check every society where women are not financially empowered divorce is very low.
Don’t misquote me, please. If you are empowered you have to also be cultured otherwise you will think you have arrived. Then, for the men; when money comes, to go to Church you will now be calculating how many times you go to Church. You start misbehaving to carry women everywhere because women follow men who carry money. Check Solomon, if he was a poor man no woman would have followed him. So when you are wealthy, you also call yourself to order so you don’t misbehave. Church Gist. Are you hearing me? So money is good and money is dangerous. Did you hear me? Check any woman who has money, she will begin to talk to her husband anyhow she likes. ‘After all this house, are you the only one’? At that point, she has to be cultured to know that: ‘Hey! This money must not destroy my marriage’. And when small money comes: ‘You know? We have a meeting today with the Governor, so I can’t come to Church’. Glory to God! Hallelujah! (Laughing). Your English will change. ‘Tell Pastor I’m very busy, we have a board meeting. I would have come but, you know? The meeting is fixed exactly at the time of the Service’. Glory to God!
-Any money that will destroy you, may you never have it.
I prayed a prayer this past week, I said: God, a day to me missing you, let me not stay here. I don’t want to miss God. Don’t live your life as if money is everything! No! Money is not everything. Be dead to money and tell yourself: I have to live to please God. Say I hear!
-Whatever will make us displease Him, may God take it off.
So, money is good and money can be dangerous. It can be dangerous! You start misbehaving when money comes. Check every man that misbehaved in the Kingdom, it’s when he had money. Check every woman that started misbehaving, it’s when she what? (Had money). ‘I don’t care about this man, I don’t care about him’. When she was poor, she didn’t say that (Illustrating). In fact, you should be more humble when you have money. Subject yourself to humility in the midst of wealth, that’s the only way to stay long. Are you hearing me? Put yourself into subjection and tell yourself. No! Money, you can’t destroy me. Church Gist. Please, all of us must be soul winners, must be what? When a teacher stops teaching, he gets off the payroll. When a worker stops going to work will they pay him? When a man retires will he be promoted? So in case you stop winning souls your promotion has stopped. That’s why we must go to the highways, compel men and women to come to the House where He meets their needs. We must continue to market the Gospel effectively through prayer, through soul winning and plant them in the Church because an unplanted soul is a waste of energy. (When) You go out, do all the evangelism and the person is not planted (in the Church), you have wasted your energy. So you have to be part of the vision: ‘One Week, One Soul’ and bring them to Church. Everybody must be a soul winner.
My friend, don’t make money your god. Make God your God. We will leave everything here and go. Did you hear me? Every money you are pursuing, you will leave it and go! There’s only one thing that will go with you to Heaven – It is (the) souls you have won. I didn’t say women should not work oo; please women should work but when God blesses you be level-headed, don’t allow the money to destroy your home. That’s why the divorce rate in the West is high. Church Gist. She goes to work, the man goes to work but when the man talks she says: ‘But both of us are working? Are we not working together? You earn a living, I earn a living. What do you mean? I’m gonna walk out of this house you’re talking about, I will walk out’! So she married five husbands in ten years. They will think it’s… Oh! You think polygamy is only in men, polygamy is also in women their own is what? (Polyandry). Hmm! ‘Multiple-gamy’ (Laughing). My friend? You don’t need it.
– Let prosperity not destroy any of us.
Say: Prosperity! You won’t destroy me.
Are you getting me now? Both man and woman! It’s both sides oo. Don’t think it’s only men. Women too, very arrogant! When a woman has money, very (arrogant). You see a woman who doesn’t talk to people, she begins to talk to people. She says: ‘Do you know me? Do you know who I am’? That time small money has entered her hand oo. ‘Do you know who I am? You talk to me like that in the Church? Who are you’? When she was broke, she would come; sit down here, shift here. The man too when he has small money. ‘So you know who I am? I’m not going to come to Church’. When he was broke, he was coming to Church every day. Church Gist. He will say: ‘Father! Give me breakthrough! Before you know it: ‘Do you know the usher talked to me anyhow? He just shouted at me and I didn’t like it. How can an usher talk to me that way’? I told a chief, I said: ‘My friend, I was the one that prayed for you, are you not the one with…’ He kept quiet. I said, why are you not coming to Church, Chief? He said: ‘One usher talked to me’, I said: ‘My friend keep quiet, are you not the broke man who I prayed for to become rich’? I said: ‘Before you were not broke, didn’t they shout at you’? I said: ‘Now you have money…’ He said: ‘Papa, no vex’! (Laughing). But let all of us bring ourselves down and win souls.
You are going to talk to God: ‘Lord! I will do this all the days of my life’. But now we have a vision, you must be a part of this vision. By compelling them to come means by all means. How many of you paid transport at least for one person? At least! You can’t pay 500 naira for somebody? No nah! Five hundred naira? Charter taxi! Say: ‘People in my street’! Charter bus if God has blessed you. Listen, I will never preach what I don’t do: I used to spend four point something million for transport. All the transport that is used for university, I pay them not Church. Church Gist. This month I increased it to ten million (naira). I said: ‘Increase my transport, this thing to ten million (naira)’. I hire buses and I pay for them. These buses you are seeing, most of them I pay at ten million (naira). How can you be blessed, five hundred naira for somebody? You say: ‘God! Bless me! Father’! (Illustrating), you are praying oo. ‘Father! Be with me, I bind’. God says: ‘You don’t love Me. Souls? You are not interested’. Remove your five hundred naira for a soul, God says: ‘What? I move you to another level’. Everything, ‘Father, give me’! Don’t think I do things because my money is wasted. No! I’m not the… Physical cash? Many people have more than me but I just love God. I’ve been doing it for years. Four point something (million naira), I said this month? Extend it to ten (million naira). And I’m going to increase it again – Monthly.
Start with five hundred naira, start with the Hundred Naira. Take okada, in your village in Bani, in ‘Korokorotie’, in ‘Kpite’ (Laughing), Ijebu Ode. Pay okada. Say: Some places, no motor. Say: ‘Enter this keke, come to Church, five hundred naira. One, two, three, four, five – hundred!!! ‘Keke! Carry them’! God says: ‘What’? The next day He will push you to another level. But all these preaching? Even as I’m preaching some of you are angry. ‘I think say I go come Church, e go just say make I get money. E go tell me to win souls; make I go win souls! Na wetin I go chop’? Na em you go chop oo! Church Gist. Na the thing you go chop now. Na em you go chop (Laughing). You know why? People are very funny! You preach now dem go complain, if you no preach, they will say: ‘Every time, prosperity! Dem no dey preach Heaven’? Now! Which Heaven you want make I preach again? (Laughing). Now I dey preach Heaven you dey complain. I preach prosperity you complain. Which one you wan make I preach? Do this one first.
Now! Lift your right hand to Heaven and say: ‘Father, I will obey Your Word. Church Gist. All the rewards of obedience, may I receive them’. Now pray for yourself in the name of Jesus!

Blessed be God forever! In Jesus’ mighty name Amen! Seek ye first the Kingdom which you have done and then everything you need to make life comfortable receive now in the name of Jesus!
-And as you put this Word to practice, you are not permitted to serve God and serve sickness. Everyone sick? Be healed in the name of Jesus!
-I decree! He said: If ye be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the Land. Because you are going to obey and put it to practice, every good! Church Gist. Receive now in the name of Jesus!
-Nothing will take your life untimely! And above all, anything that will make you and I miss Heaven. God will take it off our lives in the name of Jesus!
-At our last day, we must make Heaven! In Jesus’ mighty name!
How many will say Amen? How many don’t want to go to Heaven? How many want to go to Heaven? You want to go to Heaven? Church Gist. Do what I have said. How many know Heaven is real? Even if you don’t believe it; how many know Heaven is real? hell is real? You will not go to hell!
