While ministering during the first service on Sunday, Apostle Iren shared an encounter he had that led them into the mandate of planting Churches.
He also shared the secret behind the exploits of the ministry. “I don’t know how to beg, I don’t know how to go to offices to beg people to support the ministry” – he stated. He further said that God mandated him to go into the Ministry and he went out in pursuit of the mandate God gave to him without going to anyone for any form of financial assistance.
According to him, on a particular day, he was watching a TV program where a preacher was preaching something that was demonic. The thing got to him so badly that he was throwing things around and asking God why he would allow such things to happen. But God replied and told him, “you, go; plant Churches everywhere and every tree that I have not planted, uproot.” He further said to him, “go like you are the only one.”
After the encounter he had, he called for the first ever workers meeting with 7 members present and he shared three assumptions with them. Firstly, he told them to assume they were the only ones God was sending on this mission because according to him, “there is a kind of intensity you will go with if you are the only one.” Secondly, he told them to assume that they have all that they needed even though they were struggling to pay rent as at that time. He concluded by saying: “this is how we got here.”
He further said that there is a mentality to have in the will of God and your divine purpose. It is this mentality that will birth strange and outstanding results in the fulfillment of your purpose.
