The Redeemed Evangelical Mission operates an administrative structure that runs from the Local Church/branch level to the Zonal level and then to the World Headquarters. The administrative structure of TREM is made up of College of Bishops, Board of Trustees, Board of Advisers and Committee systems.
The Local Church is made up of the Directorates which are headed by Deacons and Deaconesses appointed by the Local Church leadership to oversee their activities. The Directorates include: The Ministry Directorate which comprises: Hospital Visitation Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, International Language Ministry and Vocational Ministry. Church Gist. The Worship Directorate which comprises: Evangel Voices, Maranatha Power Play House, Enumerators Ministry, Greeting Ministry, Ushering Ministry, Program Desk and Decoration Ministry and The Administrative Directorate which comprises: Corporate Affairs, Finance Department, Sanitation, Security and Surveillance; Social media network among others. These Directorates are represented in various local branches and report directly to the Local Church leadership. The Local Church leadership is headed by the Branch Pastor.
At the Zonal level across the nations, there are Coordinators who are selected from among the Ministry’s most experienced and gifted Senior Pastors. The Zones are headed by Zonal Coordinators. The Zonal Coordinators oversee the activities of their assigned Zones and report the activities of their Zones to the National Coordinator who is usually a Bishop and member of the College of Bishops in the Church. Church Gist. The Zones are made up of different Local Churches. Every Local Church branch in a Zone is made up of: Pastors, Youth Leaders, Statutory Bodies, Deacons Board, Unit Leaders, Government of the 12 (G12) Leaders among others.
In the formative years of the Ministry (1981-1986), the Church operated the Elders’ Collegiate system which allowed the Church Elders to be the highest authority of the Ministry’s administration but it was changed by Bishop Mike Okonkwo during the Synod of June 1987. Church Gist. This change in structure gave the Presiding Bishop, Bishop Mike Okonkwo; the full authority for the general administration of the Ministry. The Synod of that year also gave him power to appoint the Church Council as he may be led by the Holy Spirit. In the administrative structure of the Church are the College of Bishops, Board of Trustees, Board of Advisers and Committee System who work in their various capacities to promote the smooth administration of the Church.
The College of Bishops of the Church are leaders who are bishops by consecration and they work with the Presiding Bishop to oversee the affairs of the Church. Church Gist. The Board of Trustees is a group of leaders that have the overall responsibility for the management of the Church and they ensure that the management decisions of the Church are rightly implemented. The Board of Advisers of the Church is responsible for acting as a resource for the Board of Trustees, providing advice and guidance based on their professional knowledge and expertise.
