We are looking at ‘THE RIGHT MENTALITY FOR ENJOYING LASTING DOMINION PART 2’. Man was created to dominate all that God made Genesis 1:28. You are not created to be average, you are created to exercise dominion on earth. It is your perspective that will pave the way for your destiny. Church Gist. If you have the wrong mindset, you can’t have a glorious future. Every man’s destiny is defined by his mentality Proverbs 23:7, so you are where you are today based on what you thought about yesterday. If your thought pattern is faulty then your life will have no future- Mind what you think because it is the compass of your destiny.
The mind is the Global Positioning System (GPS) of your life- Until you change the way you think you cannot change your life. Many people want to change the results on the outside without changing ‘the inside’. Church Gist. Until your mind is renewed by the Word of God, no change can take place positively on the outside. In the First Service, I said that you must have creative thoughts to be at the top. From Isaiah 1:18-19, we saw that God is a thinker and He beckons you to come and reason with Him- There is ‘good’ in every land if you can reason with God.
In the First Service, I said that the reason for backwardness is mental dormancy. People don’t want to exercise their minds to produce results and until you exercise your mind, you cannot be useful on earth Romans 12:2. Until you think about possibilities, trials will never stop Mark 9:23. It is your belief that determines what you become. Church Gist. Every time you say that something is impossible, it is about what you believe and if you think that it is possible then it is possible. If you think that you can’t achieve something, then you remain in the Can (Container). You are right to say, ‘I can’t and you are right to say I can’! It depends on your perspective towards life.
We are in an era where mental exploits are limitless and every child of God is expected to do exploits Daniel 11:32b. In the First Service, I talked about what to do for your mind to produce positive results because your mind must not be left to remain fallow. Church Gist. Many times, we fast and pray and take time to develop our bodies. Some of you young men do bodybuilding so that young girls can like you. If you build your body without building your mind, you are very stupid because they don’t make money with bodybuilding- No weight lifter is rich just by lifting weights. So every wealthy man is a function of their mental capacity 1 Timothy 4:8.
Building the body without building the mind is having a glorified body without results. Young boys, are you hearing me? ‘I have a big chest’! You must have a big mind otherwise you will be very stupid. You can be a gigolo and not a ‘money-golo’. A gigolo is one with a big chest but not a ‘money-golo’ (Laughing). Church Gist. People respect a ‘money-golo’ and not a gigolo! Have you seen a handsome beggar before? No matter how handsome you are, once you beg, you are not handsome. They will say, ‘Don’t mind that handsome guy, he begs a lot’.
So, I spoke about what to do for your mind to produce positive results:
1. Task your mind to produce results.
2. Think vastly.
3. Consult the Holy Spirit.
4. Reason!
5. Be inquisitive.
Let me say this, in life you will never change what you are not willing to correct. If you know the benefits of a thing, nobody will cajole you to do them John 13:17. When you go to school, nobody tells you to read because if you don’t read, you will fail. Between the manager, architect and bricklayer, who works more? The bricklayer does less work! Mental exertion is more strenuous than physical exertion- Brain work is the real work, the bricklayer does ‘no work’, it’s only muscle work. Check every time that you read, you get more hungry and it’s more strenuous to task your mind than to carry lifts. That’s why they pay the manager more than the labourer because the manager thinks but the labourer works without thinking. You can sack the labourer but you can’t sack the manager who knows what he is managing.
So what are the benefits of a positive mentality for enjoying lasting dominion?
1. The birth of ideas.
Every time that you put your mind to good use, you give birth to ideas. Ideas rule the world and money is the function of ideas. I said something, ‘The poor man talks about money, the rich man talks about things such as cars, houses and then the wealthy man talks about ideas- Ideas are not visible! Church Gist. How you will know poverty, especially in this part of the world is when they say, ‘O boy! Na money I dey look for oo’- That’s a poverty mindset. You don’t hear wealthy people talk about what they want to buy but you will hear them say, ‘I have an idea’! When you task your mind, ideas begin to flow.
2. Promotion.
The man Joseph in Egypt was promoted by what he had on his mind and Pharaoh made him a Ruler over the Nation Genesis 41:38-41. If your brain is working, you will not lobby to be at the top. Anytime that you see somebody rig a position to get to the top, he has nothing on his head. Joseph never lobbied!
-You will take over nations, they will beg you to rule in the Name of Jesus.
– You will move from prison to palace.
3. It makes you speak the right words.
Everybody whose mind is loaded will be noticed by the words he speaks. What you store on the inside matters. If you see someone speaking about a man or woman, that person has nothing on the inside Matthew 12:34. Church Gist. The words of a man define what resides in him. When you meet a woman who always talks about how her husband does not give her money, she’s completely empty. If you meet a woman who only talks about a man, you will hear it from morning till night and that’s stupidity.
Even the person whose phone is ringing now is a sign of stupidity- Wealthy people turn off their phones when one is talking about important things because they want to learn something but the stupid people turn on their phones so that they can beg for money. Church Gist. Watch this! The wealthy people turn off their phones when a Seminar is going on but the poor man go talk say, ‘I dey expect a call oo’! Any man whose phone rings in the Church is a poor man expecting the rich man to send him money (Laughing).
Poverty is not about a lack of money but a function of your mindset. You may not have money but your mindset is very loaded and you are working towards getting wealth- It’s only a temporary condition! There are people here today, who may not have any dime but they know that they are so wealthy in their mental capacity and so they can never be poor while there are others who are wealthy now but very poor in their mindset. Church Gist. If you give one billion naira to a man whose mental capacity is poor, he will be poor in one month but give one hundred thousand to a man whose mental capacity is working, he will be rich in one month. So the words that you speak determine what goes on inside of you.
4. You will hear God’s voice.
Thinkers hear God’s voice Acts 10:19. It is not every time that you cry in the place of prayer, go and think. While you are thinking, the Spirit of God will tell you what to do Ephesians 3:20. I was studying and I saw something- When Mary became pregnant, Joseph did not go out to shout because if it were to be some of you, you will begin to shout, ‘See my wife oo, she don get belle when I never sleep with am’. Church Gist. Many of you who are making noise about your marriage are stupid- When it comes to marital matters, don’t share your problems with outsiders who don’t have the capacity to solve them- Go and think!
A young man was angry yesterday complaining about his wife and I said, ‘Sir, the reason why you are where you are is so that you can think to solve the problem because shouting has never brought answers. In Matthew 1:20, we saw how Joseph ‘thought’, he didn’t ‘shout’ and the angel appeared to him in a dream Matthew 1:20. You are quarreling every day? Go and think! ‘What’s making me fight with my husband every day’? Church Gist. While you are thinking, you will hear God’s voice, ‘You are quarreling because your mouth is too sharp’! (Laughing). On the other hand, as a man thinking about why he quarrels with his wife, the Holy Spirit can say, ‘You are quarreling because you have not taken your place as a man’.
You know what? Every woman gets irritated when the man does not take his position. The moment you see a house where the woman is the Chief Provider (The Home-Jireh), she will get angry because that’s not her work, you are now making her the Head which is not her position. Church Gist. Women are ‘Obiageri’ and ‘Oriaku’, translated to mean ‘One who comes to enjoy’. So headship means accepting responsibilities. So when the man is not responsible, he should think and calm down since his wife is the one feeding him (Laughing). God responds to our thoughts!
5. You will enjoy miracles.
The woman with the issue of blood got her miracles in Mark 5:25-28. ‘If I may touch the hem of His garment’- From where did she say so? From her mind! Go and get the Thursday Message on, ‘Winning without utterance’. You are not thinking, that is why you miss Midweek Services assuming that I teach only on Sundays. Church Gist. Do you know that you can get miracles even without opening your mouth to pray? Some of us don’t pray before we get miracles. The woman with the issue of blood did not pray, she only thought in her heart, ‘If I may touch the hem of His garment’…
How to provoke your mentality for lasting dominion.
1. Read books Daniel 9:2, Jeremiah 29:10-13, 2 Timothy 2:15.
Acquire relevant information through books, listen to Messages and attend relevant seminars in areas where you want your mind to grow. Boost your mind by reading, the problem we have is that we don’t want to task our minds through the knowledge gained from reading books. Church Gist. If I tell you something you will be shocked – It’s easier for me to walk in miracles of healing than to preach this Message. You know why? To prepare for today’s Service let me not exaggerate, they brought me close to thirteen to fourteen books just to prepare myself but I don’t need the fourteen books for healing- Just sing now and the sick will be healed.
That’s why some Pastors don’t like walking in this area because it’s as if you are a Lecturer, you can’t come and be saying 🎶 Jesus is coming soon, Amen!!! 🎶 You have to read books to be able to collate the Messages- You can’t copy and paste, the Lecturers here will say, ‘This man just copied somewhere’! So you will ask the Holy Ghost to cook it in such a way that even if they read it, they will not understand where you are coming from as you dish it and they will return the following Sunday. Church Gist. That’s how some of you got angry, left the Church and still came back, you can’t get my kind of food (Message) anywhere, so after you vex you will say, ‘Omo, make I go back, that man’s teaching dey different’. The only thing that will make people come back is to give them what they cannot find somewhere else.
Can I tell you how you will make your children look for you even without having to shout at them? Don’t just buy them things, give them words that they can’t find anywhere. Yesterday I was talking with David and I said, ‘You know what? David, write this down’. And when he wrote, numbers one, two and three, he exclaimed, ‘Daddy!!’ He got the lesson and we laughed over it. So even if he is anywhere tomorrow he can’t go away, because what I give to him, he can’t find it anywhere. Church Gist. That’s the easiest way to bring your children closer. Not that, ‘I bought wigs, shoes and dresses for my children’- Everybody can afford that for them, give them words that they can’t find anywhere. Even as an adult, you can remember that what kept you is, ‘My mother said, my grandfather said’.
You know why Chokhmah International Academy children keep quoting me? Even on their walls, they have my quotes written everywhere, so that when they are moving around they will see the quotes and remember that Papa said something. I don’t need to be physically present, the quotes are everywhere, they can say, ‘Papa said that if we don’t read well, we can’t be great, Papa said that I should never steal’! Your children will also tell you what Papa said even if you had forgotten (Laughing).
2. Meditation Psalms 119:15.
In any area where you desire to get results, take your time to meditate and ponder on that particular subject.
3. Utilize the night season.
How many of you want to be great? All great men use their night seasons Psalms 19:2, Psalms 16:7. So the early hours of the night should not be used for midnight calls, it is time to task your brain to produce results. Church Gist. For some of you, your night season is only for midnight calls Daniel 2:19. That is not the time to be on the phone for four hours but a time to rack your brain for the next phase.
-May you have understanding in the Name of Jesus.
4. Task your brain to produce Scriptural thoughts Philippians 4:8, Proverbs 4:23, 2 Corinthians 10:5.
Avoid thinking about anything that is outside This Book (The Bible). Anytime that you are thinking, ask yourself, ‘Is it in line with the Word of God’? Otherwise, you need to cast down such an imagination, whether sinful imaginations, habits or anything. Have you ever thought like this, ‘It’s like I will fail, it is like I will die young oo’! Why will you think like that? Church Gist. Do you know that some people think poverty, they will say, ‘Ah! Guys dey suffer oo’! And when he’s asked, ‘Why do you say that? He will say, ‘I think so’!- He is talking from his thinking pattern. ‘Look at me my friend, do I look beautiful or ugly? Yes, you are ugly because if you are beautiful, you don’t need to ask for anybody’s opinion.
Beauty should be seen from the reflection of what is found in the Scriptures and not from people’s opinions because some of them can even kill you. Church Gist. Even the bad people in this country, they will still say that they are good. Let your judgment be about what God says concerning you. If not, people will praise you to the point where even when you do the wrong things, they will still encourage you.
