THE TRANSFORMATIONAL STORY OF PASTOR W.F. KUMUYI. – Rev. Ntia I. Ntia
During the Second Service on Easter Sunday Service, Rev Ntia I. Ntia, while teaching on a subject captioned “Raised By Grace 2”, shared the transformational story of Pastor W.F. Kumuyi while he was in school. Church Gist. According to him, Pastor Kumuyi was known to be carrying the last position in his class before he gave his life to Christ.
On a particular day after giving his life to Christ, the class teacher asked him a question that began the turning point of his life; “William, people are laughing and you are laughing? William, last in the class and last among your classmates.”
It was as if scales fell from his eyes and he asked himself, “what am I still doing in the back of the class?” It dawned on him that he should no longer be found there. He therefore took his studies seriously and started reading rigorously. Church Gist. During the second term of Class 4, he climbed to around 8th position. Third term, he was among the top 3. In Class 5, first term, he was among the top 2, second term, he came out first while in the third term, he maintained his first position. During his final exam, he came out with all distinctions.
Rev. Ntia concluded by saying, “you can have the benefit and never claim it and suffer for nothing.” Church Gist. He further emphasized that believers must take responsibility in ensuring that they enforce the change they desire.
