*Roofing and Plastering Completed
*Set to be dedicated in January 2022 at the first Glory Rain
The new ultra modern 120,000 capacity Salvation Ministries Headquarters which construction commenced in 2010 is on the verge of completion.
Latest reports have it that the roofing undertaken by a Chinese firm has been completed and same can be said of the plastering of the auditorium which is called the Hand of God by virtue of its design with 5 fingers.
The auditorium was initially planned to be 40,000 but after a number of events which Church Gist will detail as the dedication date gets nearer, it eventually became the current 120, 000 capacity auditorium, making it the current largest single church auditorium in the world on completion. Church GistThe Cathedral which Church Gist has visited on a number of occasions is located at Igwuruta leading to Port Harcourt Airport in Rivers State, South South of Nigeria.
Previously, Archbishop Benson Idahosa in 1986 had the privilege of completing the 7,000 Capacity largest church auditorium in South South Nigeria, Faith Arena at Upper Adesuwa, G.R.A Benin City, Edo State until the completion in year 2000 of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s 25,000 capacity International Gospel Centre, Headquarters of Word of Life Church, Ajamimogha, Warri, Delta State. Church Gist.Many other auditoria have been built by many ministries for the Lord since then however, Hand of God is a wonder to behold not only in South South Nigeria, not only in Nigeria nay Africa but the whole world.
It is interesting to note that the 3 largest church auditoria can all be said to be located in Nigeria and from the same spiritual family, that is aside the 3km by 3km structure of the Redeemed Christian Church of God which does not qualify to be called an auditoria but rather a sprawling ‘roofed’ city that will comfortably accommodate 9 million people at once.
There is need to clarify at this point that this is not a competition and has been said by Bishop Oyedepo, we will continue building more and more cities (not estates but cities) until Jesus comes. He has also stated to his spiritual family from which the pastors of the largest auditoria all come from that we are not in a competition but a commission. - The 100,000 capacity Dunamis International Gospel Centre’s Glory Dome dedicated in November 2018,
The Lord’s Garden
Airport Road, Abuja, FCT - The 120,000 capacity Hand of God earlier mentioned and expected to be dedicated in January 2022.
- The 109,000 capacity Ark of the Living Faith Church Worldwide which is allegedly expected to be dedicated anytime from 2024.
