We are going to be examining the
mystery of meditation in accessing the ever winning wisdom from above. Every instruction of scriptures is a mystery, it delivers beyond what eyes can meet. Church Gist. A mystery connotes hidden secrets embedded in the pages of scriptures. “Come and let us reason together, it will bring about a change of story” Isaiah 1:18-19. God is inviting us to engage in meditation for our desired change of story. Joshua 1:8. Meditation!
Psalm 1:1-3. So it is a lifelong weapon to engage. It is a mystery to live with. Meditating therein day and night and this will be the outcome. These results are the outcome of meditating on the Word. Church Gist. Not free thinking, Word thinking. Meditation is Word thinking, that makes it superior to free thinking. You are thinking through the Word to locate the way forward. If you don’t have time to think, you have created time to stink.
What Is Meditation?
1.It is the act of thinking through scriptures in search of the way out of issues of concern in our lives.
Genesis 24:63, 26:16. One attribute we saw in Isaac was the act of meditation. Isaac had a scheduled meditation agenda. He went to the field to meditate there, not an happenstance. Church Gist. We brethren like Isaac, we are the children of promise. So we need to recover the demand for meditation in our work with God. You are leaving Shiloh as a wonder to your world.
- It is reasoning through scriptures on the way forward in one’s endeavours.
Psalm 119:97-100. There is so much noise today. That has choked the lives of many. Meditation requires quietness to tap into His virtues through desire. Proverbs 18:1. So much noise. Noise making makes empty. It is a common adage that an empty barrel makes the loudest noise. A time came, a giant like Elijah wished himself to die. 1 Kings 19:4. He requested for him to die. The problem was overwhelming and God said “Come on here! Don’t kill yourself. Go to that cave, I am coming down.” Then there was fire, the rocks rend, there was an earthquake and God was not there. Church Gist. The Word says a still small voice. Which is the environment for productive meditation, a still small voice. And God paved the way forward for a man who would have killed himself. In verse 15, God began to tell him what to do to move forward. You are going to the next level.
- It is the act of pondering in search of answers to the bugging questions of life.
Moses said we should stone this woman to death, what do you say? He stooped down and began to write on the floor and came forth with light. Whosoever has not sinned, let him be the first to cast a stone at her and they left one by one. John 8:5-8. Bugging questions of our lives requires meditation for answers.
After all the noise and everything around, the Prodigal Son came to himself: “O boy! You want to di€ like this?” No! “Can you remember where you came from? Church Gist. He came to himself and reasoned his way out of horror into honour. That’s meditation.
-In the name of Jesus, you’re coming out of every pit where there is no water in your life.
It is thinking through Scriptures to finding the way out of our predicament. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. So, it’s mental warfare! Those who are addiçted to thinking Scriptures never get stranded. I was here in July 1999 and then there was a shower that night. We had a breakthrough night. I never left this Altar; I was drenched. Church Gist. Afterwards, I was on my way to Kano for a meeting and in my hotel: “Would this be dedicated in September?” Then, thinking through creation, light broke out. “It took Me 6 days to create the World and the fullness thereof, I will not need two months to finish an ordinary building. Two months too much!” Came out of the mystery of meditation. So I came back and I said: “Everybody say with me, two months too much!!” It was too much! Two months was too much. It came out of meditation on the way out of an impossible situation.
-Somebody is coming out oo. It’s not the same you I’m seeing now that will be there tomorrow evening, something must have turned in your life that you will encounter through meditation.
There are people that go around the Tabernacle praying. Take time and meditate: “Lord! There must be a way out. That’s why we must be addiçted to the study of the Word. It is the Word in you that you can ponder through. Church Gist. Get addiçted to it. Let God’s Word dwell in your heart richly, it will make your meditation most fruitful because you are pondering and thinking and reasoning through the Word to locate an answer. So, you need the Word to think through!
-Somebody’s story has just changed!
This means we can ponder through Scriptures to locate the way forward in our endeavours. 1 Timothy 4:13-15. Meditate upon these things that you are gathering, give yourself wholly to what you discover through meditation and your profiting will appear to all. So, our profitability in our adventure with Christ demands mediation to walk into. So we are called to meditate on the Word for our profitable living. Church Gist. That was King David’s addiçtion. It’s time to respond? Why is the Bible the answer book of life and yet we are struggling with too many questions? We have not turned to give attention to the Word which includes: Reading, hearing and meditating on the Word for answers. Matthew 11:28. All! Come and learn what I’ve prescribed as the way out and you shall find rest for your souls. So He has answers to all human predicaments but He said: “Come!”
The same invitation in Isaiah 1:18. Come! Come let us reason together. I have the answer with me. Come! Come, engage in meditation for the way out. Come, think through Scriptures to secure your future. Come, pondering through Scriptures to secure your tomorrow. So we have that invitation to engage in meditation for a most profitable lifestyle. It’s time to be reading the Word and stop and ponder the things you read as it relates to the thing you are going through and you will go through. Church Gist. I got into the Word in that separation season reading from Deuteronomy 15:1-6, so I stuck. “For the Lord thy God shall bless thee and you shall lend to many nations but you shall not borrow.” I said: “Why?” He said because the borrower is a servant to the lender. I said: “But why?” “And you cannot serve two masters, you have to choose one and despise the other.” I said: “Now, I despise the lender, I choose my provider.” And forever I turned my back on any temptation to borrow. 4 October 1981. You are not reciting religious dogma, there’s life in it. When the Lord visited Solomon, He gave him largeness of heart as much as the sand that is by the sea shore. Unrestricted capacity to sort things out.
-Therefore in the name of Jesus, I release you into a world of productive meditation that will keep changing your position from level to level.
You can’t be beaten by the enemy you are smarter than. Psalm 119:98. Smarter! We have spoken so much about intercession, supplication, all kinds but people have hardly mention on meditation. Church Gist. So we think like the World because all we know is what the World is saying (what the World around us is saying).
Sir, I’m so oblivious to what they say, I am addicted to what He says. What He says is what holds my future, not what they say. What I see is what secures my tomorrow, not what they saw. Settle in! You have a gorgeous destiny in Christ. It’s time to consciously create separation seasons in our lives. Church Gist. Proverbs 18:1…there are some translations that just destroyed that statement. They destroyed it completely. The devil is looking for how to rob us of what secures our future. I saw one translation, I almost tore it. What? Is that Greek or Hebrew? No! It’s pollution.
This is “thus saith the Lord that saved my soul” – it’s enough. There is no modern truth. Truth is truth. There are some translations Sir, they will take you away from God forever. Translations…not all of them are believers. Church Gist. Can I shock you? Some are cultists. Interpreting the truth? And they say, yes – “message living classic.” What are you looking for? God so loved the World that’s what will save you. So what’s your problem? But there’s light tonight. Truth never lies.
- Whatever issue might be hanging around your life, you can think your way through and come over it and you are coming over!
This is my approach to issues, “Lord, there must be a way out because you are the way, the truth and the life.” Isaiah 55:8. Your ways are in your Word. Your thoughts are in your Word. Isaiah 55:8-9. There must be a way out and there is the way out. The Word is the way out of every unwanted situation in our lives. This Book (Bible) is the way out. Church Gist. There is no question that life will ever pose to any of us that the answer is not written. The answer is in the Book. It’s only waiting for who will find it.
While new birth grants us access to the answers from the Word, it is the fear of the Lord that guarantees delivery. It is one thing to find what to do and it’s another thing to subscribe to it wholly. Church Gist. 1 Timothy 4:15. New birth grants us access to the mysteries of the Kingdom but the fear of God is what empowers us to take delivery.
There is this very interesting Scripture that was posed to me years ago in those days when we went out to preach. Because the crowd is wonderful, so there is always question and answer after preaching. In that conference, we were about 70 or 60 – I can’t remember. Church Gist. So somebody just lifted her hand because there is question and answer after the preaching, not like now when you just preach and walk away. She said, “Isaiah 66:3, what does it mean?” She read it, “it didn’t mean anything to me.” I said, start from verse 1. Isaiah 66:1-3…that’s what makes God to smile on us when we genuinely tremble at His Word. He has spoken some things to us here as individuals. How are you responding in your heart? “You can’t tell me what to do. I am a man of myself – ‘una well-done.’ I have a right to my views. You can’t be directing my life.” ‘Una well-done.’ Direct your life yourself.
There are times you read your Bible and you flip it off because it’s talking against you directly. You are reading a book and it’s saying something from the Word (not just saying something – from the Word) and it’s hitting you. You say, no! I don’t like this man’s book. Why? He spoke to you and your issues. That’s man for you. Some will be writing now where they are sitting down anywhere in the World, “I won’t do this one. Church Gist. If you like break your head, I won’t do this one. Me, never! My and my wife living in the same country, never! I need to look after my children.” ‘Una well-done.’ When you finish arguing, then you go for intercession and intervention when things go haywire because you won’t respond. That’s man for you.
Don’t mind what others think. Mind what the Word says. Those who mind the Word, the World will not mind them. Mind what the Word says.
- No one here will lose his marriage!
- Your children won’t turn their back on you!
Jesus has the answers but why are we still struggling with the questions? The answers will come in four different ways. It will come in form of Kingdom principles, it will come in form of reproof. Church Gist. It will come in form of correction and come in form of instructions. They are the things that the free man hates.
The free man hates instructions. He hates it. Yet life becomes chaotic without instruction. Imagine a city without traffic rules and each one goes on any lane he feels like. The accident dent rate will jump up. Accident rate will rise, because order is lost. Instructions are the highways of life and they don’t have to be what you like, but what is right. Church Gist. How forcible are right words. Everytime God speaks to us and we receive it in a good and honest heart, we have committed Him to create it. Whatever God says, God creates when we receive and believe it. For I am the Lord, I change not. In the beginning, God said and God saw. How? He created. Whatever He says, He creates.
This church didn’t create Canaanland, God created it. This is the place and so, He created what we could not see.
- Amazing things shall be created in your life, as an aftermath of Shiloh 2024.
As you open up to what He says to do from His Word, which you have connected with through meditation. Then you have committed Him to create it. There are many believers who are working in the created Word of the Faith. they just open up to the Word and God creates what they receive and believe. - It is your turn.
- In the Name of Jesus, no unanswered questions will survive in your life again.
It is important to mention here, that there is no intellectual access to the covenant of life as embedded in Scriptures. Church Gist. Because God’s ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts than our thoughts. We need a shift. We need to tune in to the Spirit. Connect with inspiration through meditation and locate the right role concerning our issue of concern. Can a natural man receive not the things of the Spirit of God, neither can he know them because they are Spiritually discerned. That is why we need to be spiritual, we must be spiritually disposed to access and answers to the questions of our life. To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Thank you Jesus.
Therefore, no matter the challenges we may be confronted with, there is always a way out and meditation in the Word is the medium through which we locate the way out. Church Gist. For no temptation has ever taken us but such as is common to man and God is faithful. He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able. And in the same temptation, he provides the way of escape that we may be able to deal with it. There is always the way out with God. God is faithful, he has the way out of that challenge. All we need is to answer the call to meditating through the Word for that is the medium through which he delivers the answers.
- Somebody’s story is changing in the precious Name of Jesus.
The Bible says, don’t be slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. You don’t get there by being slothful. Church Gist. You get there by being serious. Only a serious approach can achieve a glorious result in any endeavor. Let’s get serious with our walk with God. Amazing things will come forth.
Hebrews 13:7. The Word says, remember them that have the rule over you, which has spoken into you the Word of God, whose faith follow. Find out what they do, in assessing what they have. If you are interested, connect. Don’t follow those that explain the promises, follow those that inherit ithe promises. Follow them that have the proofs of what they are talking about.
Mediation is a spiritual asset. As anointed as Elijah was, he was going to commit suicide. Asking God to kill him. I mean, meditation is a vital spiritual asset. And that asset is available to all of us because now we have the mind of Christ with capacity to reason with Him through His Word.
Let me share some of this life transforming outcomes of meditation. Church Gist. I was pondering Daniel 11:32. This who do wickedness against the covenant, he shall corrupt them with flatteries. But those who do know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits. Here is what he told me. You don’t need to know any man to scale the utmost height in life, just know me. 43 years ago. Just know me. I have been married to that scripture since then. You go around to know people, God is so close to you. He has what people don’t have. Just know me. So, my quest to know more of Him became stronger. Just know me. Can I confess before the Most High God and His people. There is no man I can point to in my life responsible to where grace has brought me today. There is not one man, white or black. Grace. Just know Him.
I have been blessed by many no doubt. By the light of God in them. I have not been blessed by any unbeliever. They can’t give what they don’t have. You are running around all kinds of people and bowing down and crawling. Is that the way to go up? Just know me. Church Gist. See where ‘Know Me’ has brought us to today. Sir, we have never held any meeting of ‘who is who’ in this Church since inception. ‘Who is who’ for what? We are all ‘who is who’. Every child of God carries the same value. Something is breaking forth in your life.
Those things come through, through meditation. Our daughter was dying and I shut my door, I established the quietness required. I said Jesus there must be a way out. The Spirit of God came through with four scriptures and life surged back. She is alive and well and a mother of children today. Through meditation there is a way out of that situation. Are you looking for a job? Meditation can turn you into a creator of jobs. Meditating on the Word could turn you into a job creator. Church Gist. You start employing people. Why is this Church not growing? Reason through scriptures. Connect with all the resources you have around and find out what may be missing and then you are going forward. Why is this business crawling? Is it the economy? No! The economy is also affecting other people that are breaking forth. It is the same sun that we are under. Why is your temperature rising? In the precious name of Jesus, every time out for meditation will deliver tangible products in your life.
I have not designed life for ups and downs. What! We are used to statements like the firmament cannot be so bright that there are no dark spots. It is not in the Bible. It is a human adage. The Word says the oath of the justified shines more and more until the perfect day. Church Gist. We have been justified freely by the blood of Jesus. Then I came through by the help of the Holy Spirit, I am not prepared for a better last year till I go to heaven. For the agenda of heaven is to make my path shine brighter and brighter till He comes. In the name of Jesus, you never know a better yesterday again.
Get this illustration well, meditation is like squeezing the juice from the orange ball. You squeeze it for the juice to come out. The vitamin is in the juice. You squeeze it. Meditation is squeezing the Word to bring out the juice that will add vitamins to your life. Church Gist. Many have several orange balls but they don’t know how to squeeze, so it can’t enter them. Can you swallow an orange ball? It takes meditation to squeeze the treasure that will add value to our life. Squeeze! Psalm 1:3. You will engage the Word to locate a solution to any problem around your life.
So we need some quietness. I was talking briefly the other time on social media. It is designed to choke many destinies. And many just walk into it with their eyes closed. In the night, you are scrolling. In the day, you are scrolling. So where is the time remaining? Church Gist. “Hello Hello Hello” “Someone is calling from Congo. This one is calling for Tanzania”. No schedule. No program. Somebody’s delivered right now. One major raw material for meditation is time. When time is abused, mediation loses its value. You need quality undistracted time to gain value from meditation.
I don’t have time is not the truth. I don’t know how to manage my time is the truth. We all have equal amounts of time. While some invest it, others simply squander it. “Meditate upon it day and night” there is always the way forward. When I had this encounter in 1982 with the secret of Kingdom prosperity and God unveiled the covenant to me. I said: “How reliable is this covenant?” And He answers your questions with Scriptures because you have acquired them over time through genuine study of the Word. Church Gist. How reliable is this Covenant? Then the answer landed. “Except My covenant be not with the day and with the night.” When that Word landed from Heaven from Jeremiah 33:20-21. I stood up and spun: “Yeah! I can never be poor!” Anytime you look up in the day and you see the Sun know that My covenant is enforced. I heard that raw interpretation. You look up in the night, you see the Moon, know that my covenant is enforced. And it’s enforced as long as the Earth remains. Come on now! So I had all the assurance in my life that that Covenant is the only way to enjoy financial comfort, financial refreshment and be free from financial tension.
-No more tension in your life.
Ask Him questions, be sincere about the questions, you are sure of the answer. Now watch! Approach your separation times with set questions and open up in the Spirit to walk through Scriptures with your meditation in search of answers to those questions. “Shall I go up?” David said. 2 Samuel 5:18-20. Church Gist. Don’t just go pondering, go making specific well-defined demands. What must I do to boost my spiritual life? Jesus! With an open heart, He begins to answer the question drawing from what you have learned at His feet. No Word-lazy believer can secure values in meditation because you are meditating through the Word you have. It takes time to acquire the Word, it takes time to meditate through the Word and it takes the fear of God to engage with your findings. Isaiah 48:17.
I was alone in a youth camp and as I sat down on one wooden chair. I got to the Scriptures: “I’m the Lord that teacheth thee to profit which leadeth in the way that thou shouldest go.” I’m committed to leading you, if you’re committed to following Me. Church Gist. Life! Many are never led because you are not committed to following Him. He doesn’t lead just anybody, it is those who are committed to following Him. You follow Him into fortune, to goodness and mercy.
-I decree an end to dry seasons in your life in the name of Jesus Christ. The good news is: You are going places!! You will never know a backward trend anymore in your life. You are meditating your way back to honour and dignity. That seemingly insurmountable mountain will get off your path, it will melt like wax you will not see them again in the name of Jesus!
In conclusion, meditation is a gateway to a life of continuous triumph, a life of continuous flourishing, a life of breaking forth on every side; engage with it.
Some fellows stood before the Lord 30 minutes in the Shiloh Prayer Hour and some amazing things were delivered to you. Do I have a witness here? Some amazing things came through to you. Do I have a witness here? Church Gist. By coming to yourself and engaging with your God, light began to come down.
- Now in the name of Jesus, as you depart from Shiloh, may your time with God change level in quality!
Psalm 19:2…you have the night season. Isaiah 26:9. Engage your night season. Engage your night season in thinking through the Word for your desired solutions. Check Gist. Engage the night season and you will be glad you did.
- The days of struggles in your life are over because your Jesus has the answers to all your questions!
- And through meditation, you will never suffer unanswered questions anymore in your life!
- For that buggy issue, the answer comes your way now!
That lady from South Sudan for 25 years, the sisters were just producing children in their parent’s house. Church Gist. None was married. Jesus broke the siege, same December of Shiloh.
- Before this month is over, definite answers have been delivered!
- Your marital destiny is settled!
- Your miracle children are delivered!
- Your next level breakthrough arrives!
- The wisdom of God that changes people’s story dramatically (and) supernaturally will answer for you!
Sir, listen; “and Nebuchadnezzar bowed down and worshipped Daniel.” Church Gist. The most pompous, arrogant King, he bowed to the wisdom from Heaven. He bowed.
- The World in which you live will bow to the wisdom of God in your life!
- In our various fields of endeavour, in the name of Jesus, the proud one will bow to the wisdom of God in your life!
And then Joseph came from the prison and the king said, I must hand over to you. Church Gist. The wisdom of God caused Pharaoh to bow.
- In the name of Jesus, in your various spectra of life, I see every arrogant barrier on your path bow!
- You are going places!

More than enough! Your Jesus is more than enough. His wisdom is more than enough to deal with all issues in our lives.
- That shall be your experience!
In Proverbs 3:27 (before we minister tonight) if your neighbour comes asking you for help and it’s in your power to do it, don’t ask him to come back tomorrow. Whatever the Word teaches is what God does. Acts 1:1. Church Gist. Whatever you find in the Word, that’s how God operates. If it’s in your power to do it today, don’t ask him to come tomorrow. Now, is it in the power of God to set you free today? He won’t ask you to come tomorrow for it.
- Whatever you are set for today, you are getting it!
2 Corinthians 6:2.
For I have heard thee in the time accepted and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee. Behold now is the accepted time. Behold today is your day of salvation.
- Listen, are you set for your healing tonight? Receive it now. Church Gist. Are you set for your marital settlement tonight? Does God have power to settle you? So, receive it now. Something dramatic will happen tomorrow. Many will receive their letter of employment tomorrow. Is God able to give you a job tomorrow? Does he have the power to do it? Your days of hanging on, without having a productive thing to do, is declared over.
Somebody died and 4 days old in the grave. Jesus said if you believe, you will see the glory of God. So there is no situation impossible for reversal. So every unwanted issue of your life is declared reversed tonight. That deadly situation is overturned tonight. Now, just put together in your hand, Proverbs 3:27 and 2 Corinthians 6:2. Today is your day of salvation, now is your accepted time. I have heard you in the day of salvation. I have succoured you. Behold, now is the accepted time. So, let God hear you this evening. Let God hear you. Church Gist. Enough is enough. You have the power to do it today. I am not wait until tomorrow. Now, in the cause of this cry, growths will disappear. It has a personal issue. The just shall live by his faith, not by our faith. By his faith. He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. How much more will God give good things to them that ask Him. So you have it.
- Your marital destiny is settled. Your cry for marital restoration is settled. Your runaway wife will return supernaturally. Your runaway husband will return supernaturally.
Now listen, I will restore health unto you and I will heal you of all thy wounds.
- So no sickness escapes here tonight.
- Every pain disappears from your system right now in the Name of Jesus.
I decree next level outbreak of light for you. In the cause of this cry, God will show you the next step forward and He will create the happenings in the Name of Jesus.
- For all fathers and mothers in waiting. As the Lord lives, whose I am and whom I serve, I declare your fruitfulness this hour.
- Hannah returned with Samuel from Shiloh, you are returning with your Samuel from Shiloh in the precious Name of Jesus.
