Preaching at the Third Service of the Showers of Blessing Service, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr emphasized the importance of continuous obedience to God in maintaining a continuous flow of His blessings.
He said: “Those who are committed to obeying God, they keep enjoying the flow of God’s blessings. That’s why you and I must beware of the errors of Solomon. Solomon served to a point, he was blessed to a point and then after a while, he came off commitment to obeying God and then the blessings began to evaporate. No matter how much rain falls, if rainy season does not come again every water that has come down will evaporate. We have seen many times where we have had; those of us in Lagos, we see flood everywhere. Church Gist. Water flowing everywhere and you wonder, all of this water, where will it go? But very shortly after that, the water has disappeared. It has dried up, it has gone off, it has run off. The only thing that can keep you continuously saturated, submerged under the rain of God’s blessings is continuous obedience because as we are obeying God what happens? We keep filling our clouds. As our cloud gets full, the rain keeps falling. We keep obeying, we keep filling the cloud. It means that anyone who keeps obeying God never has a dry season because the cloud is always full and when the cloud is full, the rain must always fall. As we keep obeying God, our clouds keep filling up, our rain keeps coming down. And what then happens? Your life becomes a wonder to behold. People look at you and they cannot understand. “Are you the only one? How are things happening for you like this?”
