11th September 1938: Benson Andrew Idahosa is born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He was the Founder of the Church of God Mission International Incorporated (CGMI) and Christian Faith University (now Benson Idahosa University – BIU) in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He was also the 3rd President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) from 1995 to 1998. He passed on to glory on 12th March, 1998.

11th September 2021: Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali is martyred by assassins. He was a Pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Kibori-Asha Wuce in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.

11th September 1557: Joseph Calasanz is born. He was a Spanish Catholic Priest and educator. He was the Founder of the Pious Schools which provided free education to poor children in Rome. He passed on to glory aged 97.

11th September 2022: John Williams O’Malley SJ goes to be with the Lord. He was a Theologian and Catholic Historian who wrote on the religious history of Early Modern Europe and the Second Vatican Council. He was also a University Professor at Georgetown University. He was aged 95.
