12th March, 1998: Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa passes on to glory. He was a Charismatic Pentecostal Preacher and the Founder of Church of God Mission International. He was popularly referred to as the Father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria and the Founder of Christian Faith University (CFU), now known as Benson Idahosa University (BIU) in Benin City, Edo State.

12th March, 1947: Smith Wigglesworth passes on to glory. He was a British Evangelist who was influential in the early history of Pentecostalism.

12th March: 2017: The book “Stories of Pastor E. A. Adeboye” is released by author Bisi Daniels to mark Pastor Adeboye’s 75th birthday.

12th March, 2012: Unknown gunmen shoot three Christians dead and injured others in Chugwi Village, Jos South, hours after a suicide bomb attack on St Finbarr’s Catholic Church Rayfield, Jos which killed 10 people.

12th March, 1685: Anglican Bishop and Philosopher George Berkeley is born in Ireland. Berkeley was a strong proponent of missions to the American Colonies.
