12th September 1976: The day Florence Akano (now Faith Abiola Oyedepo) signed the ‘Sailing Under Sealed Orders’ agreement drafted by her fiancé, then Brother David Oyedepo. This was a document that expresses full devotion to God for life – “He must be Lord of all or not Lord at all.”

12th September 2020: Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche rebukes the ‘mad dog’ Ifedayo Olarinde (Daddy Freeze) for insulting Bishop David Oyedepo by calling him a ‘Baldheaded fowl.’ Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche is the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC).

12th September 2020: Bishop David Abioye reacts to the attack by Church critics in Nigeria. In his own words: ‘There is no organization that is giving progress and image to the nation like the Church’.

12th September 1960: Bimbo Odukoya is born. She was the wife of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya (Of Blessed Memory), the Founder of The Fountain Of Life Church. She passed on to glory on 11th December 2005.

12th September 2022: Mason Day Celebration is held at the Historic Mason Center, Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America. This was in celebration of Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, the Founder and First Senior Bishop of The Church Of God In Christ (COGIC). He passed on to glory on 17th November 1961.

12th September 1916: Oswald J. Smith weds Daisy Billings. He was a Pastor, Author and Missions Advocate. He was also the Founder of The People’s Church in Toronto, Canada.

12th September 1788: Alexander Campbell is born. He was a Co-founder of the Disciples of Christ (Christian Church) in Ballymena, Ireland. He passed on to glory aged 77.

    12th September 1972: Rose M. Horton passes on to glory. She worked as a missionary and Bible translator in Kenya for Africa Inland Mission and was largely responsible for getting the entire Bible translated into the Kambla language. She was aged 89.
