12th August 2022: The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, attends the (all night) Holy Ghost Service of the 70th convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Redemption City.

12th August 2023: The grand finale of Deeper Christian Life Ministry celebration of her 50th anniversary is held. The celebration tagged: “God’s Faithfulness” began with a week-long Strategy Congress of the Church which brought key leaders of the Church from over 120 countries where she has branches. The Church was established by Pastor W.F Kumuyi on 3rd August 1973 and currently reaches over 200 nations.

12th August 1890: Thomas Birch Freeman goes to be with the Lord. He was an Anglo-African Wesleyan Minister and Missionary. He was also a Pioneer of The Methodist Church in Colonial West Africa.

12th August 1484: Pope Sixtus IV (Francesco della Rovere) passes on. He was the Head of the Catholic Church and Ruler of the Papal States from 1471 to 1484. He was known for the construction of the Sistine Chapel and the creation of the Vatican Library in Rome, Italy.

12th August 1506: Franciscus Sonnius is born. He was a Roman Catholic Priest and Theologian. He was also the First Bishop of ‘s-Hertogenbosch Catholic Diocese in the Netherlands and the First Bishop of Antwerp, Belgium.

12th August 1989: Felix and Funke-Felix Adejumo are ordained as Ministers of the Gospel in Ondo State, Nigeria. This was during the Church’s First Anniversary Celebration with Bishop Francis Wale Oke as the Guest Speaker. They are the Founders of Agape Christian Ministries Incorporated.
