13th April 1997: Salvation Ministries, the Home of Success (SMHOS) is born. SMHOS began at Plot 35 Birabi Street GRA Phase II Port Harcourt with 34 members: 15 males, 10 females and 9 children in attendance and Pastors David and Peace Ibiyeomie as the Presiding Pastors. Today, SMHOS has become a global Church with an overflowing crowd in her Headquarters presently located at Plot 17 Birabi Street GRA Phase II Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria and her numerous satellite Churches globally as well as on the internet. She is currently building a soon to be completed Auditorium -Salvation Ministries Cathedral (Hand of God).

13th April 1960: Mike Bamiloye is born. He is an Evangelist, Gospel Movie Minister, Producer; the President of Mount Zion Faith Ministries and Mount Zion TV. He is married to mummy Gloria and they are blessed with children and grandchildren.

13th April 1974: Sam Oye is born. He is the Founder and Lead Pastor of The Transforming Church, Abuja and Host of Prophetic Prayer Hour (PPH).

13th April 2013: Pastor Nathaniel weds Sarah Bassey. They are the Lead Pastors at RCCG The Oasis, Lagos. Their union is blessed with 2 children.

13th April 2002: Reverend Sam Oye weds Mary Oye. They are the Lead Pastors of the Transforming Church, Abuja.

13th April: Anwinli Ojeikere is born. She is a Gospel Movie Minister and wife of Pastor Ohis Muyiwa Ojeikere (they are popularly known as The Winlos). They are the Lead Pastors of The Votage Church, Benin City.

13th April 2020: Nigeria extends lockdowns in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States for an additional 14 days to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Religious gatherings were earlier banned in a bid to curb the spread of the virus.

13th April 1829: In the Emancipation Act, the English Parliament grants freedom of religion to the Roman Catholics and the restriction preventing them from being elected to political offices is removed. Within three weeks, the first Catholic was elected to Parliament.

13th April 1986: Pope John Paul II visits a Jewish Synagogue in Rome, marking the first of such visit by a pope in recorded history.

13th April 2014: Mahay Choramo passes on to glory. He was an Evangelist who evangelized widely in the Omo region of Southern Ethiopia and suffered many imprisonments and beatings for preaching the Gospel. He was aged 94.
