15th September 1951: Godfrey Adeniyi Beecroft is born. He is a Pastor at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Ota.

15th September 2009: Archbishop Nicholas Dikeriehi Orogodo Okoh is elected the Primate of Nigeria Anglican Communion. He retired after 10 years of service in 2020 and was succeeded by Archbishop Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba.

15th September: Victoria Tokunbo Olufemi Oke is born. She is the wife of Bishop Wale Oke, the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and Founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries.


15th September 1853: Antoinette Brown Blackwell becomes the first female minister ordained in America. She was ordained at Congregational Church in South Butler, New York.

15th September 1963: In a racially motivated attack, the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, was bombed, killing four girls and leaving more than 20 members with injuries. The sermon that day was “The Love That Forgives,” based on Matthew 5:43-44.
