16th March 2015: Winners Chapel commences Covenant Hour of Prayer (CHoP), a one hour daily morning prayer / exhortation session held in all branches across the globe from Monday to Saturday. The sessions were especially instrumental for running services and the Church system during the global lockdown of 2020. Many ministries now run daily onsite-online prayer sessions.

16th March 1974: Pastor Manuela Izunwa is born. She is the Convener of Stretch Summit for Women in Ministry and the wife of Pastor George Izunwa, founder of Gateway International Church.

16th March 1970: The complete text of the New English Bible was jointly published by the University Presses of Oxford and Cambridge. The New Testament of the New English Bible was earlier published in 1961.

16th March 1909: Marianne Hearn goes to be with the Lord. She was a British Baptist teacher, author and hymn writer. She is known for the hymn “Just As I Am Thine Own to Be.” She was aged 75.
