18th December 1998: Lekki ‘98, The First Holy Ghost Festival (Now Holy Ghost Congress) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) tagged: ‘Divine Visitation’ is held at Lekki Beach in Lagos State, Nigeria with Pastor Adeboye ministering alongside other anointed men of God from within and outside the RCCG. It was a one-night open-air vigil program expected to host 3 million people. By midnight, CNN had an estimate of about 7.2 million people in attendance while the Church estimated 6.5 million. Traffic was observed to be at a standstill from Lekki Beach down to CMS. There were 80,000 ushers and 1,500 man choir at the program. From a one-night program in Lekki 1998, it became a 3-day program and today, it is a week-long program held annually in the month of December at the Redemption City.
18th December 1707: Charles Wesley is born. He was an Evangelical Leader who co-founded the Methodist Movement with his brother, John Wesley. He passed on to glory on 29th March 1788.
18th December 2010: Isaac Oyedepo marries his wife Ayomitide Oyedepo (Née Omogbadegun). A Living Faith Pastor from 2007, He was commissioned as the Founder of The Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries in November 2023.
18th December 1989: Emmanuel Aniefiok Iren is born. He is the Lead Pastor of Celebration Church International with its headquarters at Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.
18th December 2022: The 40th anniversary celebration of The New Testament Christian Mission International comes to an end. The Ministry celebrated from 14th to 18th December, 2022. As part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations, 15th December 2022 featured visitation to The New Testament Christian Mission Camp.
