1st March 1992: Bishop David Oyedepo receives a revelation from God saying , ‘Persecution is coming down from very close people. Develop yourself to enjoy it. If you dont want persecution, you dont want the blessings’. According to him, the attacks, slandering and persecution started in May 1992. Based on historical records, his friend, Pastor Tunde Bakare commenced a media attack on him on Television over doctrinal issues which lasted up till 1999.

1st March 1981: Michael Orokpo is born. He is the Founder of Encounter Jesus Ministries International headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria.

1st March 2020: Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel plants 1300 new churches out of the planned 10,000 church planting mandate for the year 2020.

1st March 2025: Hallelujah Challenge comes to an end. It is an hour-long praise program held unto the Lord. It commences at 11:59pm for a set number of days and is held twice yearly by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.

1st March 1927: Ishaya Audu is born. He was a Christian Nigerian doctor, professor and politician who founded Charity and Faith Missions Inc., a Christian organization reflecting his lifelong commitment to faith-based service and humanitarian work. He passed on to glory at the age of 78.

1st March 2012: The Diocese of Lagos, Methodist Church Nigeria holds its Golden Jubilee Annual Synod. It lasted for 4 days.

1st March 1981: David Martyn Lloyd-Jones passes on to glory. Martyn Lloyd-Jones was a Welsh Protestant minister, preacher and medical doctor who was influential in the Reformed wing of the British evangelical movement in the 20th century. He was aged 81.

1st March 1919: The March 1st Movement in Korea takes place. Christian leaders participate in protests against Japanese colonial rule, influencing Korean Christianity

1st March 1633: Beloved English clergyman and Poet, George Herbert d!es of tuberculos!s at age 39. He is best remembered as the Author of the Hymn, “The God Of Love, My Shepherd Is.”
