21st January 1981: At 39, Dr Enoch Adeboye is appointed and announced as Reverend and General Superintendent of the 29 year old Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at Ebute Meta in Lagos about 3 months after the passing of the founder, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. Dr Adeboye immediately opted for a change of title of Reverend to Pastor and from General Superintendent to General Overseer among other changes. The RCCG had 38 parishes including one in Ghana on his assumption of office. Today, the RCCG has over 45,000 parishes globally and is the largest church institution established in Africa.

21st January 2018: The foundation stone of the International Worship Centre, Uyo of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria is laid by Pastor E.A. Adeboye. The International Worship Centre is a 5,500 seating capacity multipurpose facility which was commissioned on the 28th of May 2023.

21st January, 2023: Pastor (Prof.) Folagbade Olajide Aboaba goes to be with the Lord. He was one of the closest friends to the General Overseer and an Assistant General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God.

21st January 2017: My Lagos Diaries, a video documentary telling the story of how Dr Tony Rapu has led a campaign to reform the lives of drvg add!cts and s£x workers in different areas of Lagos is premiered.

21st January 2022: A 100 seating capacity sanctuary built by Bishop David Abioye for Living Faith Church Angwan-Ate, Kachia Kaduna State is dedicated.

21st January 2005: Caritas University is officially opened by the Federal Minister for Education, Prof. Fabian Osuji. Caritas University is owned by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Edeh, a Catholic Church Priest.

21st January 2019: Jack Coe Jnr goes to be with the Lord. He was an American evangelist and the first child of healing revivalist, Jack Coe Sr.
