22nd April 1864: The phrase ‘In God We Trust’ is inscribed on the two-cent coin of the United States of America. This took place after a campaign initiated by a Baptist Church Minister, Reverend M.R. Watkinson. He appealed to create a slogan that recognizes that America is founded upon Biblical Principles and that her freedom is a gift from God.

22nd April 2006: Olabukunola Bekes (a.k.a. Olorikokoro) weds Damilola Bekes. She’s a Gospel Singer and the founder of ‘Olabukunola Bekes and the Paradise Minstrels’. She’s also popularly known as Master Key by members of RCCG for her role in the theme song of the 2005 Holy Ghost Congress tagged ‘Master Key’.

22nd April 1669: Reverend Richard Mather goes to be with the Lord. He was a Puritan Preacher who oversaw the Baptism of the First African American Christians in New England. He was aged 73.

22nd April 1961: Joy Mensah Otabil is born in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana. She is the wife of Pastor Mensah Otabil, The Founder of the International Central Gospel Center.

22nd April 1418: The Council of Constance is ended. It is the 15th Ecumenical Council recognized by the Roman Catholic Church which ended the Western Schism and restored the ancient unity and headship of the Church.
