22nd March 1982: David Oyedepo declares, ‘I can never be poor’ after ‘seeking the secret of Kingdom Prosperity’ in a 3 day Study, Fasting and Prayer session. Today, he is one of the Most Prosperous Pastors in the World. In 2012, he was declared by Guinness World Records as the world’s richest Pastor. Today, the Church he pastors is building the most expensive Church project till date in Africa and the Church is considered one of the wealthiest churches globally.

22nd March 1967: Victor Abugo is born in Issele-Azagba, Delta State, Nigeria. He is an Apostle and the Founder of Liberty Christian Centre, Mönchengladbach, Germany.

22nd March 1962: Charles Agyin-Asare is born in Achiase, Eastern Region of Ghana. He is an Archbishop and the Founder of Perez Chapel International and Precious Television as well as Chancellor, Perez University College, all in Accra Ghana.

22nd March 1997: Pastor Victor Abugo weds Bola Abugo. They are the Pastors of Liberty Christian Centre, Mönchengladbach, Germany.

22nd March 2022: Church Growth Conference 2022 hosted by Bishop David Oyedepo commences. The Program was from the 22nd to 24th March 2022, for founders of Churches, with the theme, ‘Built To Last.’ Dr David Oyedepo gave landmark teachings on succession in Pentecostalism in order to see generational growth and continuity stating “God told me structure is the only way to secure the future of any organization. If you want a Church Ministry that lasts, go and study the ones that have lasted long before you.”

22nd March 2020: Bishop Oyedepo preaches as Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland conducts Service with thousands in attendance after Government announced limitation of gatherings to just 50 people on 21st March, 2020. Bishop Oyedepo insisted that, “Shutting down churches would be like shutting down hospitals” saying “There are many, many places that would never have any medical solution but in Church.” Bishop Oyedepo and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome remained the loudest critics of the lockdown while it lasted. A few weeks later, the order was adjusted to allow for churches with very large capacity hold up to 50 percent capacity worshippers in each service thus enabling up to 75,000 worshippers over 3 services. Many big congregations however decided to heed to the lockdown until further review of restrictions.

22nd March 1987: Oral Roberts enters the Prayer Tower of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA to begin a 9 day Prayer Vigil. He said God told him to raise $8 million for Medical Missions by end of March 1987 or die.

22nd March 1457: Gutenberg’s Bible is published in Latin language. This was published by Johann Gutenberg and Associates, Johann Fust and Peter Schoeffer in Mainz, Germany.

22nd March 1758: Jonathan Edwards goes to be with the Lord. He was an American ‘Great Awakening Revivalist’, Philosopher of British American Puritanism and Theologian in East Windsor, Connecticut, United States of America. He was also one of the Forerunners of the age of Protestant Missionary expansion in the 19th century.

22nd March 2020: Daystar Christian Centre Alimosho branch is opened at Iceland Civic Centre, Egbeda-Idimu Road, Banire Bus stop, Egbeda, Lagos. Daystar Christian Centre is a Church founded by Pastor Sam Adeyemi.
