25th December 1938: Oral Roberts Weds Evelyn Lutman Fahnestock. He was an American Televangelist and Preacher, who was one of the first to propagate Prosperity Gospel Theology. He founded Oral Roberts University (ORU) in 1963.

25th December 1929: Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye is born in Odo-Owa, Ekiti State. He was the second Archbishop and Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), a position he held until he retired from active service in December 1999.

25th December 2011: Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla town near Abuja is bombed during mass with 42 worshippers murdered and Boko Haram Terrorist sect claiming responsibility. One Kabiru Sokoto was arrested after the attack and later escaped custody. He was soon rearrested, tried and convicted in December 2013.

25th December 1972: Mac Powell is born. He is an American singer, songwriter and producer. He formed the Christian Band called Third Day. He is noted for his songs, ‘God of Wonders’, ‘Sing Alleluia’, ‘Love Lifted Me’ and ‘It’s Christmas Time’.
