25th September 1928: Apostle Ayo Babalola’s spiritual encounter begins at Ikeji Arakeji while reading the Book of Psalms for about a week. The encounter culminates in the receiving of God’s call upon his life on 9 October 1928. He was the First General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church.

25th September 2004: Benson Idahosa University (BIU) holds her first convocation ceremony. National diploma degrees were awarded to students on completion of a two-year programme in affiliation with the University of Benin, Benin City and Edo State University, Ekpoma (now Ambrose Ali University, Edo State).

25th September 1964: Chidi Okoroafor is born. He is the Former General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria and the Founding International President of Intercessors’ Prayer Camp International.

    25th September 1872: Peter Cartwright passed on to glory at the age of 97. He was a Methodist circuit rider and one of the revivalists who helped to start the Second Great Awakening in America.
