26th August 2022 : Ms Betty Lasher goes to rest with the Lord at a ripe age of 92 years. God used her to save the soul of God’s servant Bishop David Oyedepo when he was a student at the Government Secondary School – GSS Omu-Aran.

26th August 2016: Execution of the rehabilitation of the Ife-Ifewara Road, Osun State (8.2km) contracted by the Redeemed Christian Church of God commences. It was done as a Corporate Social Responsibility project by the Church. Later on, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) raised a petition over the payment of N151,508,901.22 as reimbursement to a construction firm, Cartil Construction Nigeria Limited for this same road project executed by the Church for free.

26th August 1979: Timothy Chukwudi (Tim) Godfrey is born in Kaduna, Nigeria to the family of Mr. and Mrs Victor Godfrey from Anambra State. Tim Godfrey is a Nigerian Gospel Musician, Songwriter and worship leader.

26th August, 1936: Sunday Coffie Mbang is born in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. He was a Prelate and Patriarch of the Methodist Church Nigeria, a former President of the World Methodist Council and former National President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

26th August 1944: Jack Coe Jnr. is born. He was the first son of healing revivalist Jack Coe Snr. and left to be with the Lord on 21st January, 2019 at the age of 74.

26th August 1901: The American Standard Version of the Bible is first published by Thomas Nelson and Sons. The A.S.V. spun off from the 1881 English Revised Version, the first nondenominational English revision since publication of the King James Version in 1611.
