26th December, 1960: Reverend Samuel Aboyeji is born. He is the current General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church. He took over from Rev. Felix Meduoye after his election as the fifth General Overseer of the church in Nigeria.
26th December 1963: Mary Olugbemi Abioye is born. She is the wife of Bishop David Abioye and Founder of Mary Abiodun Abioye Foundation.
26th December, 1899: Dwight Lyman Moody passes on to glory. He was an American Evangelist, publisher and Founder of the Moody Church, Northfield School and Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts (now Northfield Mount Hermon School).
26th December, 1984: The foundation stone of Babcock University Teaching Hospital is laid. Babcock University is founded by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
26th December, 1986: Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye is enthroned as the second Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). During his leadership, the Anglican Church grew from 27 dioceses (in 1986) to 76 dioceses at his retirement in 1999. He passed on to glory on 14th December 2012 aged 82.
