26 September 1976: The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is established. CAN is an umbrella organisation containing numerous Christian denominations in Nigeria. The organisation is made up of five blocs: the Christian Council of Nigeria, the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Organisation of African Instituted Churches and the Evangelical Church Winning All/Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria.

26 September 1968: Reverend Samuel Oluwasegun Olubiyo is born. He is the President and Founder of the Word of Power Global Ministries International also known as Triumphant Christian Centre (TCC).

26 September 1968: Jim Caviezel (James Patrick Caviezel) is born. He was the Lead Actor in the movie, ‘Passion of The Christ’, that portrayed that life and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

26 September 1978: Pastor Mildred Kingsley Okonkwo is born. She is the wife of Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, Associate Senior Pastor of David’s Christian Centre and Founder, Just Us Girls Global Network.
