27th December 1998: Archbishop Sam Amaga begins an Apostolic missionary adventure to Lagos and the western part of Nigeria. He received his call into ministry in July 1982, did some missionary work in Makurdi, Ozoro (the then Bendel State) and Port Harcourt before moving to Lagos State in 1998. He is the founder of Salem International Christian Centre (SICC), Abuja, Nigeria. He is also the presiding Archbishop of Foundation Faith Church Worldwide.

27th December 2003: Godman Akinlabi weds Bolarinwa. He is the Lead Pastor of The Elevation Church, Nigeria. He is also an author, engineer and relationship coach. Their union is blessed with 2 children. 

27th December 1931: Peter Christian Lutkin goes to be with the Lord. He was an American organist, choral conductor, composer and educator (Northwestern University, 1891 – 1931). He is noted for composing the famous song, ‘The Lord Bless You And Keep You’. He passed on to glory at the age of 73. 

27th December 1714: George Whitefield is born. He was an Anglican cleric and evangelist who was one of the founders of Methodism and the evangelical movement.
