28th August 1996: WITNESS, LEADER AND COMMANDER: The Visioner, Church Gist, receives a word from God through his servant, Bishop David Olatunji Abioye in Living Faith Church (Garden of Faith) Barnawa, Kaduna, Nigeria which led to the foundation of interdenominational Christian journalism and documentary in Africa. The Word revealed a clear vision and mission from Isaiah 55:4- Behold I have given him for a WITNESS to the people. This later led to the birth of Church Gist between 10 August 2010 (Hard Copy) and 4 May 2014 (Social Media-Facebook)
28th August 2022: Pastor Isaac Oyedepo hands over to Pastor David Oladosu as the New Resident Pastor of Winners Chapel Maryland, USA.

28th August, 2022: Pastor Nike Adeyemi, wife of the founder of Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, is honoured with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award by Heart Bible International University, Hartford, Connecticut.
28th August, 2005: Reverend Nkechi Nwosu is ordained as a priest at Hoarse Memorial Methodist Church, Yaba. She is the first female Methodist Bishop in Nigeria, formally consecrated as the Bishop of Jos on 22nd January, 2023.
