28th May 1993: Rt. Rev David Olatunji Abioye is consecrated Bishop becoming the youngest consecrated Bishop (aged 32 years and 3 months) of a major Church organization.





28th May, 1996: Dr. Paul Idoko Enenche, at a crossroads, journeys on a 3-day fasting and prayer to seek God’s face on what next to do with his life. He was instructed by the Lord to put aside his medical certificate and move to Abuja to start a Gospel outreach. On coming home, his wife (a nursing mother) Dr. Mrs. Becky Paul-Enenche, who was also fasting and praying, confirmed that the Spirit of God had told her exactly the same thing, thus confirming the call to establish Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

28th May, 2023: The International Worship Centre, Akwa Ibom is dedicated. The foundation was laid in 2018 and was completed in 2022. The then State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel stated that the purpose of building the Centre was in furtherance of the vision of the founding fathers of the State in naming the State after God and dedicating all the lives, assets, activities and future of the State to God Almighty for preservation, protection and progress.

28th May, 1995: Evangelist Bola Odeleke is consecrated as the first female African Bishop. She is the Founder and General Overseer of Power Pentecostal Church headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.

28th May, 2005: Caritas University holds her first Matriculation ceremony with 250 pioneer students. Caritas University is a Private University founded by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel M. P. Edeh. It is located in Amorji-Nike, Enugu State of Nigeria.

28th May, 1841: Edwin Moody passes on to glory, leaving his wife to raise 4-year old Dwight Lyman (D. L. Moody) and eight other children. D.L. Moody went on to become a leading American Evangelist of his generation.

28th May, 2011: Eddie Jun Yong-Su, a US Citizen who had been arrested while attempting Christian work in North Korea was released. He was detained for 6 months before he was eventually released.
