29th December 1991: President Frederick Chiluba of blessed memory issues a statement declaring Zambia as a Christian Nation. On 29th December, 2021, the United Party for National Development (UPND) led Government reaffirmed Zambia as a Christian Nation as the Nation celebrated 30 years of the declaration.
29th December 1851: The first ever Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) in the United States is opened in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
