29th January, 1976: Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo is born. He is the Founder and Lead Pastor of David’s Christian Centre, Lagos (DCC). He is a sought after Marriage Counselor known for his teachings on love, dating, relationships, sex and marriage. He is happily married to Pastor Mildred Okonkwo and their union is blessed with 3 children.

29th January, 1944: His Eminence, Cardinal John Onaiyekan is born in Kabba, Kogi State of Nigeria. He was appointed as the Auxiliary Bishop of Ilorin and was ordained by Pope Saint John Paul II in St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome at the age of 38. This made him become the second youngest Roman Catholic Bishop in Nigeria after Cardinal Francis Arinze.

29th January, 2000: Pastor Biodun and Modele Fatoyinbo wed. They are the Senior Pastors of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) International, with her headquarters located in Abuja. Their union is blessed with four children.

29th January, 1929: Charles Fox Parham goes to be with the Lord. He was an American Pentecostal Pioneer and Founder of the Apostolic Faith Movement. He was aged 53.

29th January, 1953: His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Chukwemeka Kanu Uche is born. He is a Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church of Nigeria and native of Imo state, Southeastern Nigeria. He emerged the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria in 2013 making him the first Igbo leader of the Church in its 171 years of existence in Nigeria.

29th January, 1968: Pastor Adeolu Adeboye, the first son of Pastor E.A. Adeboye (General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God) is born in Ifewara, Osun State. He is currently a Pastor in the RCCG and a Business Tycoon. Adeolu and his wife, Tope run a luxury fashion brand, Apparel and Duchess Boutique that has branches in Lagos, London and Abuja.

29th January, 1499: Katharina von Bora is born in Lippendorf, Neukieritzsch, Germany. She was the wife of Martin Luther, a German reformer and a seminal figure of the Protestant Reformation. She passed on to glory at the age of 53.

29th January, 2022: Veritas University, Abuja holds her 10th Convocation Ceremony awarding 30 First Class Degrees. The School is founded by the Catholic Church of Nigeria.
