3rd January 1988: Gospel Light International Ministries (GLIM) a.k.a. New Covenant Gospel Church is founded. GLIM is a Bible-believing Church founded by Rev. Dr. Felix I. Omobude, a former Minister under Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory. He is a former President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and one of Nigeria’s foremost Gospel Ministers.

3rd January 2018: The Redeemed Christian Church of God UK (Jesus House) moves office from the Redemption House at Knebworth, Hertfordshire to Gunnels .

3rd January 2019: West African Faith Believers Convention (WAFBEC) 2019 edition opens with a day of thanksgiving, praise and worship hosting Gospel Music Minister Sinach at the Covenant Nation, near National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, Nigeria. WAFBEC is now known as World Faith Believers Convention – WOFBEC.

3rd January 1785: The Methodist “Christmas Conference” (an historic founding conference of the newly independent Methodists) concludes at Baltimore, Maryland, having created the Methodist Episcopal Church in America and elected Francis Asbury and Thomas Coke its two first “General Superintendents”.

3rd January 1840: Roman Catholic Missionary, Father Damien (born as Joseph de Veuster) is born in Tremelo, Belgium. He spent his adult life ministering to lepers in Hawaii.
