3rd May, 1988: The first Model Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God is inaugurated at 1, Ladipo Oluwole Street, off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos with Pastor Tunde Bakare, now of The Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC) (former Latter Rain Assembly) as the first Pastor with Tony Rapu as Assistant Pastor.



3rd May, 1898: Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary is founded in Ogbomoso, present day Oyo State. It began as a “Preachers’ Training Class” for Baptist Mission Station workers by Reverend Charles Edwin Smith, a Missionary from the United States of America.

3rd May, 1994: Pastor Yonggi Cho leads the 26th National Prayer Breakfast in South Korea. On the same day in 1996, he was awarded the Mugunghwa Medallion – the highest national order awarded by South Korea.

3rd May, 2021: Apostle John Paul Okwok goes to be with the Lord. He was the General Overseer of Ministry of Life International, also known as City of Life Miracle Centre, Lagos. In addition, he was the President of the John Okwok Global Ministry. He was born on 3rd August, 1960
