30th April 2017: Pastor (Dr.) Senior Gabriel Okpako (S.G.O) Uyeh is inducted as the Vice Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Lagos and Western/Northern Areas (LAWNA) Territory. He was appointed in February 2017. He is also the National Vice President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN).

30th April 1891: Ransome-Kuti Israel Oludotun is born. He was an Anglican Reverend and the Founding President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT).

30th April 1913: Reverend Moses Ladejo Stone goes to be with the Lord. He was the first ordained indigenous Minister of the Baptist denomination in Nigeria.

30th April 1854: James Montgomery passes on to glory in Mount Sheffield. He was the author of the Christmas carol “Angels From The Realms Of Glory.”

30th April 1882: Nlemvo (Mantantu Dundulu) converts to Christianity. He was the first Protestant convert in the Congo. He collaborated in translating the New Testament, Proverbs and Psalms into the Kikongo Language, with other Christian literature.

30th April 1822: Hannibal Goodwin is born in Taughannock, New York. He was the Rector of the Episcopal House of Prayer in Newark, New Jersey. Though his main passion was making the Bible “come to life” for the children in his Church, he dreamed up 24 inventions during his life and received 15 patents. He was known as the Father of Celluloid Film For Photography.
