30th January, 2022: Bishop Oyedepo offers Fatherly Blessings to Olympic Medallist, Ese Brume. She is a Nigerian long jumper and Olympic bronze medalist who competed in the women’s long jump event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she finished third with a jump of 6.97 meters.

30th January, 1649: King Charles I of England, the Head of the Church of England who defended the “divine right of kings” while oppressing the Puritans is beheaded by his usurper, Oliver Cromwell’s Puritan government. He was aged 49.

30th January, 1979: Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Ajayi Dahunsi goes to be with the Lord. He was the General Secretary of the Nigerian Baptist Convention from 1975 until his passing. He was aged 64.

30th January, 1912: Francis Schaeffer is born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an Evangelical Missionary, Philosopher, Author and Lecturer. He was a leading figure in the resurgence of evangelism during the 1960s and 1970s. He passed on to glory at the age of 72.

30th January, 2006: Coretta Scott King passes on. She was the wife of Martin Luther King Jnr, American Christian leader (Baptist) and Civil-rights Activist. She was aged 79.
