4th November 1954: The first Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria is planted in Yaba, Lagos State by Reverend H. J. Curtis, Mrs Faye Curtis and their two sons. Foursquare Gospel Church was founded in 1923 by Aimee Semple McPherson in California, USA and currently has about 4712 Churches spread over 173 districts and 841 zones in Nigeria as at August 2023.

4th November 1989: Pastor Dele weds Pastor (Mrs) Dele Bamgboye. They are the Lead Pastors of Highflyers Christian Centre.

4th November 1740: Augustus Toplady is born. He is the author of the hymn ‘Rock of Ages’.

4th November 1976: Yoido Full Gospel Church holds Celebration Service for surpassing 100,000 in membership. Pastor Yonggi establishes Church Growth International (CGI), a Research Institute for Church Growth to help churches around the world grow by analyzing the growth of Yoido Full Gospel Church based on biblical principles.

4th November 2002: Academic activities commence at Bowen University with 500 students admitted into the Faculties of Agriculture, Science, Science Education and Social and Management Sciences. The Nigerian Baptist Convention are the proprietors of Bowen University.
