6th September, 1992: Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) is founded in London, England. KICC which was former Foursquare Gospel Church, Kingsway and later FGC aka The Kingsway Church was founded by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo on completion of a court case he won against Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria.

6th September, 1945: Bishop Mike Okonkwo is born. He is the founder of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, TREM, headquartered in Gbagada, Lagos.

6th September, 1976: Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu-Uche is admitted into the Trinity Theology College Umuahia for a diploma in Theology and Religious Studies. He is the immediate past Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria.

6th September, 1979: The Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary formally opens at Ile-Ife (in present-day Osun State). The CAC Theological Seminary, Ile Ife is affiliated with Joseph Ayo Babalola University also established by the Church.

6th September, 2009: Hightower Global Church is founded. The Church was founded by Prophet Olawale Rufus and Rev. Mrs Rhoda Ikotun with the mandate of reviving the world through the ministry of prayer, praise, word and prophecy.
