7th August 2022: The Redemption Camp is renamed as The Redemption City. Redemption City is the International Headquarters and Campground of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
7th August 2005: Liberty Christian Center was founded by Apostle Victor Abugo in Monchengladbach, Germany with a mandate to proclaim God’s liberty to the captives and stir up a new wave of revival in the land and Nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
7th August 2020: President Muhammadu Buhari signs the amended Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) Bill 2020 into law. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) rejected the Act as it gives government power to remove the Board of Trustees of Churches and appoint interim managers to manage the affairs of Churches. The matter was taken to the Court and judgement was passed that some sections of the Act were not applicable to religious organizations.
7th August 2023: Pastor Taiwo Odukoya passes on to glory in the United States. He was the Founder and Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church. He was aged 67.
7th August 1943: Obiora Ezekiel is born. He was the Founder of Christian Pentecostal Mission International and one of the founding fathers of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). He passed on to glory aged 78.
7th August 2021: Rev. Wilson Adebogun Badejo passed on to glory. He was the Third General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria who served from 1999-2009. He was aged 74.
7th August 2022: Pastor E. A. Adeboye announces changes in the leadership of the Church thus: Pastor Sunday Akande is to replace Pastor J. O. Obayemi as the RCCG National Overseer, while Pastor Kalu Ndukwe will serve as the Overseer of the African Continent.
7th August 2012: A Deeper Life Bible Church in Otite, Okene in Kogi State is attacked by 3 armed men just as a Bible study session was about to begin. A total of 19 people were killed in the gruesome attack.
7th August 2020: Reverend Gomba Fortune Oyor passes on to glory. He was the Founder and Senior Pastor of God-Will-Do-It Ministries and Father to the Oyor twins. He was aged 61.
