8th April 1868: George Matheson,
a blind hymn writer is ordained pastor of Clydesdale Parish in Argyllshire, Scotland. His popular hymns are: “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go” and “Make Me A Captive Lord And Then I Shall Be Free”. He passed on to glory on 28th August 1906.
