8th October 1972: The Adventist College Clinic which later became Babcock University Teaching Hospital is officially opened. Babcock University is a Christian private university founded by the Seven Day Adventist Church in Ogun State of Nigeria.

8th October 2022: The first onsite New Season Prophetic Prayer and Declaration (NSPPD) Prayer Conference is held in Houston Texas, USA. The meeting had about 20,000 people in attendance. NSPPD is a prayer session led by Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International, held every weekday between 7 am and 9 am West African Time (WAT) and streamed on YouTube and across all social media platforms.

8th October 1988: Michael Abayomi Bamiloye weds Gloria Olusola Obembe. Evangelists Mike and Gloria Bamiloye are the founders of Mount Zion Faith Ministries International.

8th October 1993: Gift Ugochi Christopher popularly known as GUC is born in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. He is a Gospel Music Minister.

8th October 1951: Gbemisola Beecroft (Née Soyemi) is born. She is the wife of Pastor Godfrey Adeniyi, the Chairman of Church Gist Limited and Pastor at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Ota. She is also a Chartered accountant, Lawyer, mother and grandmother.

8th October 1972: Pastor Agi Emmanuel is born. He is the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Durumi Abuja.
