9th August 2020: Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Faith Church (LFC), Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC) and Salvation Ministries – Home Of Success (SMHOS) Churches in Lagos State, Nigeria all hold Thanksgiving Services as Churches are opened for worship for the first time since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 Lockdown.

9th August 1934: Odunaike Samuel Olusegun is born in Lagos State, Nigeria. He was the First National Superintendent of Foursquare Gospel Church from 1965 to 1970. He was also one of the Founding Fathers of Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria. He passed on to glory aged 57.

9th August 1973: Ayo Oluwalagba is born. He is the Regional Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) International, United Kingdom. He is also the author of the popular Daily Fire Devotional Book as well as the Convener of ‘Control Your Day and Control Your Night’.

9th August 1672: John Livingstone goes to be with the Lord. He was a Theologian and Scottish Minister at The Presbyterian Church of Scotland Founded by Reverend John Knox. He was aged 69.

9th August 1883: Robert Moffat goes to be with the Lord. He was the Pioneer Missionary to Southern Africa and the First translator of the Bible into Setswana Language. He was aged 87.

9th August 1788: Adoniram Judson is born. He was one of the First Protestant Missionaries to Burma (Now Myanmar), Asia. He translated the Bible into Burmese Language and established about 50 Baptist Churches in Burma. He was aged 62.
