2nd July 2011: Cathedral of His Glory, the 15,000-seat headquarters of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) in Gbagada, Lagos State is dedicated as the Church celebrates her 30th anniversary. TREM was founded by Bishop Mike Okonkwo.

2nd July, 1955: Pastor Femi Emmanuel is born. Pastor Femi Emmanuel is an Engineer, one-time deputy speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and a businessman turned preacher. He is the Founder and Presiding Pastor of Livingspring Chapel International.

2nd July, 1982: Dr. Sam Amaga receives the call into full time ministry at a time he was hitting the limelight in the management of a leading Pharmaceutical company in Nigeria, West Africa. Archbishop Sam Amaga is the Founder of Salem International Christian Centre.

2nd July 1865: Salvation Army is founded by William Booth, an English Methodist Preacher and his wife Catherine. Salvation Army was founded with the mission to reach unchurched people working in the slums and also offer humanitarian aids. It was originally named the Christian Mission but was changed to the Salvation Army in 1878.
